"My Niece tool me out for Sunday Lunch for birthday treat. We led to our table by the waitress who looked after us well but was not overly intrusive. It was Delicious we both had the beef dinners and they were just as you would hope a traditional lunch would be Roast beef, roast potatoes, parsnips peas, carrots, cabbage with a really tasty gravy and horseradish sauce. It was a substantial lunch and left us full to the brim. We had chocolate pudding and spotted dick to dessert both were really well made. The chocolate pudding was light and mmmmmmmmmagically chocolatey and the spotted dick was perfect. The latte coffee was perfection and it was a very civilised way to have lunch all for a £10 for 2 courses. The waitress and bar staff were friendly and helpful."

We all had the mixed grill deal for 2 for £14, food was amazing and a massive plate of food. Staff were all friendly, an overall very good experience. Would definitely recommend!!

Had lunch here on Sunday with family. There were 10 of us. The food and service were both excellent. Spoke to the chef as we really liked his broccoli leek cheese side dish and his Cornish roast potatoes.

Called into The Bear today for the first time. One word Wow! The Sunday lunch was superb, so much beef and vegetables. Even cooked some chicken nuggets for my children, who are fussy eaters. Will definitely be going back again.

I went with my grandparents to have a meal on a Thursday. Even though my grandfather did not have his steak pie I still enjoyed me lovely chicken with cheese and bacon on it. The atmosphere could do with some changing and also the layout of the building. All in all I would still highly recommend that you are to come here!

My wife and myself go out most sundays for sunday lunch , we tend to find somewhere we like and it becomes a sort of regular weekly vist but we decided we would try somewhere new for a change and picked here . Pub is olde world cottage feel and quite cosy and friendly , seen proprietor about our booking and show out into a small side room which felt and looked like a country kitchen style cafe with plastic table clothes place was empty except for us . Waitress was nice and took our order both opting for roast beef. Food arrived and while there was nothing much wrong with it it was a nothing great dinner with lots of frozen veg instead of fresh frozen Yorkshire and tastless chewy beef no wond...

"My wife and I booked a table at the Cinnamon Tree on Tuesday for the Sunday early evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I checked their web site first before booking as the actual date was on the Monday. Finding out that they did not...open on Mondays we opted for the Sunday. I telephoned the restaurant and made the booking. the person on the other end of the telephone repeated my details and time date ect. We turned up at the restaurant to fined it was closed with a sign on the door stating that they did not open on Sundays and Mondays. We got back in the car and went to turn around at the back of the restaurant and I saw a door at the back of the restaurant open. I stopped the car and went to the door and found someone in the kitchen. I told them that I had booked a table for that night and he confirmed what we had found out with the notes on the door. He then telephoned the owners of the restaurant and he put me on the telephone and I spoke to the owners partner and she said they have not been open for several weeks owing to staff shortages. I asked the lady why the booking had been taken as the staff must be aware of when the restaurant is closed or open and I had gone by their web site. She replied we haven't bothered to up date our web site and will not be doing so and have not bothered to blank out Sundays on the book were the reservations are written in and just blamed the person that took the booking in the first place. Her attitude was I couldn't care less. At this point I was boiling as I have used the Cinnamon Tree for many years and have always had a good meal there. But after this episode they can go to hell I will never go there again."
