"Upon arrival at the fish bar I thought I was at the front door of a night club wen I was approached by the worst Door staff with skinniest arms I’ve ever seen then to be told to stand outside the door like a naughty child til I was to come inside to order which I was then greeted by a very arrogant owner sat on a stool being very cocky. Ordering the food wasn’t a pleasant experience as he seemed to be still doing social distancing even the staff look grumpy no one smiling and all this before even getting the food. Once ordered then told to wait outside in another queue that was even more silly than the first one. Was really hoping for the food to be nice after all of this but was very very disappointing as the fish was slim and seemed to be wearing one of sell boys coats as batter and the chips had no inside were they been cooked either too quickly or reheated there wasn’t one whole chip in the box. Salt and vinegar was really nice tho but again upon asking on these was told to get them our selves very rudely. Definitely wont be going back! That was the the worst part of our holiday. Watergate bay tho was amazing nice and clean with lovely views I will making sure to read reviews more in future before eating out !! That fish bar is an insult to British fish and chips"

Everyone agreed it was the best fish they'd ever eaten! Parking: We had fish and chips at 7.30pm, so the parking was free. It was a Friday night at the beginning of September, so I'm sure it was quieter than in the school holidays. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner View menu

I asked for a large portion of chips. Paid 3.50. The chips that were given to me was just bits and the smallest of portions, only to be told they only do one size. Should have asked for my money bag. Poor to say the least will not be going back Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Nice and fresh fish and chips, the odd few bad chips and were just a tad bigger than french fries, a bigger chip would've been preferred... queuing and door bouncer a bit strange , but all in all quite good . Food tasted greasy and bland, chips were overdone and generally not very nice. It’s also quite expensive for what it is, cod chips are around £12.50 for a fairly small portion, there didn’t seem to be any other other options for size, presumably so people have to order a portion each. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Not a great experience, wouldn’t recommend. Service: Take out View menu

Can’t review the food unfortunately, although we wanted to. The shop only takes cash, and we only had our phones with us (Apple Pay) so we eat at the pub next door. However, a massive thank you to the 2 staff, who noticed that our car battery was flat and came to our rescue within minutes. First giving us a push, then finding some leads to give us a jump start. It was about 8pm, and we had 2 beach weary young children with us. So grateful for your kindness and time!

I never write reviews but I was so disappointed after going there today. ....greeted at the front by a guy who told me to stand and wait at the front even tho nobody else waiting inside, then told to enter by grumpy old man who didn 't seem to have the patience for me to read the menu. After ordering I was told cash only...the guy said very rudely 'can you see a card machine '. I asked to change the order so i could pay with the cash i had on me and he very sarcastically read out my order to me. After biting my lip I told him to forget it and we went elsewhere.
