"Having gone for drinks at this pub, we had a nice chat with the landlord who told us about a bad review he’d recently received on trip advisor. We all agreed it’s better to sort out any problems with food or service whilst still at the establishment instead of just posting a bad review. He then went on to tell us how good the food was and we said we’d come back to eat. On Friday 14th June we arrived at 7.45pm to a half full restaurant but were told we’d have to wait an hour for food, we decided to wait and had a drink. 40 minutes later the landlord came over and told us we could no longer get any food! He told us the chef had a small child and needed to go home at 9pm which is when they finish. Now it was 8.25pm at this point on a Friday night! My wife and I felt really annoyed as we were hungry and had no other options to eat. We also had no recourse to complain about the tardy attitude of the landlord so I felt compelled to leave a poor review as there was no way we could get any form of satisfactory resolution. We eat out a lot and have never had such a strange and unprofessional (no) dining experience. It’s pot luck whether you’ll even get food at this place so I’d go somwhere else to avoid disappointment."

Thank you for an excellent Sunday Lunch. Been here before and you have never disappointed. Excellent choice of beautifully cooked veg and a great list of home made desserts. Will definitely be back!

We visit the blue post whenever we manage to get a spare evening to ourselves, the drinks are good and sensibly priced as is the food, and a good amount of it too, just wish we had more spare evenings.

We visited the Blue Post inn while on holiday in the area and will definitely return when we go back. Both meals were delicious, staff were helpful and friendly and the pub is dog friendly so we could take our pooch along. Looking forward to a return visit

Once again, even in these uncertain times, the team at the Blue Post, North Frodingham hit the back of the net with a delicious homemade takeaway steak pie, !! Great price, excellent meal. Well done , thanks for keeping calm and carrying on. Mark and family. View menu

Popped in on an awful wet evening as I was looking for somewhere to break the journey and have a bite to eat. This was the closest pub that was open that evening and I was not disappointed by the food. The Hunters Chicken was very nice and home cooked chips was very nice indeed, it is a proper local of the sort that are disappearing. Nothing fancy but very nice and good value

After reading a few reviews, I decided to see for myself, and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, the bartenders were very helpful, and the waitress was very polite. The atmosphere was great and the company was even better. The locals were welcoming, saying hello as we walked in. They also allowed dogs, which was a bonus. The owner even acknowledged our furry friend. I would definitely recommend this place.

Difficult to say much that would encourage anyone to go, waited a hour for the standard Sunday lunch to arrive, despite not that busy, firstly the pork was just a pile of fat and unless edible, glasses where dirty, but that didn't matter because other than orange juice and coke there wasn't much choice other than alcoholic drinks. Such a shame that a village pub and restaurant that should have a great reputation offers this!!! View menu

We ended up dining at this restaurant as our first choice was fully booked. We were not disappointed. We started with a delicious creamy mushroom dish with fresh bread. Our main courses were generous and well-cooked. I requested to have chips instead of the potatoes that came with my meal, but I received the potatoes anyway. Despite this, they were tasty and I didn't complain since the restaurant was quite busy. The vegetables were also delicious. My partner wasn't a fan of the pastry on the steak and ale pie, but that's just a matter of personal taste. Overall, it was good value for those with a big appetite. The landlord was friendly and welcoming.

Once inside, we found our table ready and waiting for us. The service was excellent, with attentive staff. The drink prices were reasonable at the bar, and we felt we got good value for our money. The selection of beers was impressive. The food was delicious, typical pub fare but presented in a way that could rival a more upscale restaurant. The menu offered a wide range of reasonably priced options, and my wife and I were able to enjoy starters, mains, and a dessert for under £35. The rest of our party paid around the same. Overall, despite the initial mishap, I was very impressed with the experience. This was my first visit to the restaurant, but it certainly won't be my last. I highly re...
