"as its name suggests, the boat house cafe in barton’s point coastal park is ideally located on the side of a lake. there is a large parking space and a side there is a large picnic area with picnic tables. that was the first time we were in this opposite of kent and we decided to go a cup of coffee before we make a walk along the beach. However, the late breakfast that was eaten by another customer looked so good that we decided to stop for lunch. there was a good choice on the menu and very friendly and helpful staff soon a meal for my wife who is gluten free. my pasta and bolognese sauce was delicious. the portion sizes were more than sufficient and good value for money. an additional bonus was that the caffe was dog friendly. this was an extremely rewarding first visit, and we will certainly call again next time in the opposite."

This is a great little cafe. They are a wide varierty of food and even do roasts on a Sunday I beleive. We love it as its dog friendly and often pop in there.

Nice sunny day so jumped on our bikes and ended up here for a lunch with my family. Good food magical location to look out over the lake watching the swans glide around.

it was my first visit today with friends who had been before. the caffe staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. our food and drinks were great and we also enjoyed a walk through the park. I am going back with my family

we received a warm welcome. beautiful staff. big coffee, delicious brotpudding and the Scotch eggs were the best I ever had. ok, the caffe is something quirky and decorated in a ground, but we enjoyed our visit. it is also dog friendly.

gt small caffe. terri, the young lady, who is responsible, seemed to see us again and the food provided was very good and plentiful. we had speck and chicken sandwiches and made to house lasagne. our old enkel was with us and the caffe was welcoming and friendly.

Never a dull moment here people kids dogs swans and other wildlife abound, even at this time of the year.November does not deter them Cycle clubs descend on the cafe at regular intervals. The girls treat all to the same friendly service and somehow get food...out to one and all. No complaints from this visitor

On a winters day with the fire lit you feel as if you have gone back in time.. I really like the place except you can't get to the place easily if it's raining as there are huge pot holes in the car park. I...don't like dogs being allowed to run around out of control either. In winter they supply hot water bottles to keep away the chill. Love that idea. great view of the water too. They could make much more of the outside in the summer. Still worth a visit. Sometimes I have found it shut though.

Nice atmosphere in the cafe, quite a lot to look at and do. Kids liked the board games which u could grab and play. Nice cup of tea, the cappuccino was naff. Hubby reckons it's a packet mix not a proper cappuccino from a machine....A few choices of cake generic muffin, gingerbread men, flapjack and cookie and that was literally all the choice. Food smelt lovely. Average prices for a cafe attached to a country park area. Breakfast, hot chocolate bacon sandwich to give you an idea of cost. Looked clean, quite rustic bet it's cosy when the log burner is on.
