"I popped in here when passing through Whaley bridge as I was starving and fancied a cheese roll. The menu had loads of different in-house options for imaginative fillings, different types of bread etc. Unfortunately for me, all I fancied was a cheese bap (I am pregnant and suffering with various food aversions . The lady with whom I placed my order advised me that they only had a combination of cheddar and mozzarella to go in my roll, as they have this pre mixed for other things on the menu. I was hesitant but she told me i t was really nice so I ordered. I found the cheese was rubbery and a bit sickly. Had it been just cheddar then there wouldn't have been a problem but it didn't really work with the cold mozzarella. I also ordered a custard slice. This was £3. I was a bit shocked at first at the price, but when I ate it....o my goodness! This was definitely the best custard slice that I have ever tried, if not one of the best cakes ! Very fresh and creamy, large (I wish I had saved half for later! This is a small business doing a great job of providing a unique offering of fresh cakes and sandwiches. I have only given four stars as I felt that £4 for a cheese bap that had sickly mozzarella cheese in it seemed a little steep. I am sure if I had chosen one of their more lavish filling options it would've felt more worth the price. In total I paid £8 for a cheese roll, a cake and a bag of crisps"
