"I booked a table here to meet friends, halfway between where we all live, having done a spot of research on TA. We were not disappointed. As soon as we arrived, we were shown to our table and menus and water was brought. The staff were attentive and very friendly throughout our whole meal. Service could not be faulted. We all had toasted sandwiches and all were delicious. Having seen the delicious cakes as we came in, we couldn’t resist. They were excellent, too, as were the teas and coffees. Our whole experience was 6* and it’s just a pity we don’t live nearer, as Panaderia Blu would become a regular venue for us. Thanks to Lisa and all the staff for such a lovely lunch."

"We decided to stop by Casa Di Pizza on a whim and we are so happy we did. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back. Our meal was for dinner and cost between £20-30 per person. We rated the food, service, and atmosphere a 5 out of 5. We highly recommend trying the lasagne."

"This place is so small, it's like going to someone's house. We had to wait outside for a while as they were full, only 4 tables? The owner was really friendly and he's definitely proud of what he puts out The spicy Indian burger actually had some spice to it, hurrah! It was delicately crispy and had a nice taste to it. Really enjoyed the side salads. The quesidillas were great, simple and easy. Only thing I did not like was the blueberry latte, it smelt delicious but tasted like melted down play dough... I'll go for the vanilla or cinnamon latte next time. Updated from previous review on 2022-02-07"

"I researched this café, looking for a meal break in my long journey home from Sheffield. I made a special detour to Glossop to go there. I checked the opening hours on their website the night before, which said they were open until 5pm. It was very disappointing therefore to find all the chairs on the tables and someone cleaning up at just before 3.45. The man explained that they had been very quiet. When I asked about the hours on the website the man said that they didn't know the password to make changes!! Luckily I spotted a Food Hall (not just any food hall... down a path on the opposite side of the road and went there. I try and support the independents but I felt badly let down by this one. I would have been writing a quite different review if the man in the café had had either compassion or a business brain. Both were absent. When I had just travelled an hour to get there and find the café closing, the offer of a hot drink and piece of toast would have been very welcome. As it was I had a very tasty halloumi and falafel wrap in the Food Hall."

"What a gem! Arrived 20 minutes before closing team to be greeted and seated with a warm welcome. A delicious homemade pie and chips, with the perfect balance of cheeses. Which is often not the case as many pies are too cheesy. Lovely staff too. Will certainly be back next time we're in the area. And I suggest any hungry walkers do the sams. "For the second time I was a guest of Daniel and his team. When I checked in, I mentioned that it felt like coming home. I like the design and style of the whole house, The rooms are great and the pub downstairs is just a beer lover's dream. "Just recently had new landlord/landlady. Used to be a great little pub, unfortunately not much of a welcome when ordering at the bar, considering they are new, the place has had a white wash makeover with ice white led lights, cold atmosphere, very clinical. And a massive price increase, almost £4 more for two of our usual drinks. Unfortunately not my local any more. *update.... It was a Saturday afternoon, not many people in, yes one decent original staff member, very hard working girl. Was charged nearly £14 for a beer, gin and tonic, maybe she has charged me for a double? Definitely wasn't. The same drinks ordered in the Bulls head was £11 and only £10 in the commercial down the road. As for your new gate to contain children and dogs, good luck with that!"

"Been coming to Naopli in Glossop from over in Stalybridge for about 5 or 6 years now (minor intermission for covid lockdown aside). We first happened across the place when having spent a day at the coast, we didn't fancy cooking and my wife did a search on the Internet and booked us in here. We've probably eaten here 20 times over the last 5 or 6 years and always thoroughly enjoy it. Napoli is a little hidden away downstairs off Norfolk Sq. There is always a good atmosphere and we always leave happy (and full). Food is excellent, usually a couple of additional starter main course choices on the specials board and an excellent range for carnivores, pescaterians and vegans alike. Most recent visit was for an Xmas eve meal with family, and as ever, the steak, lobster ravioli, chicken risotto were excellent as were the starters and desserts (the home made Tiramisu is a particular favourite) Good job we parked downhill from the restaurant as walking uphill could have been a struggle after everything we ate. Value is very good indeed given the excellent quality. The restaurant is fairly compact but comfortable nonetheless. The kitchen is an open kitchen and the work rate of the kitchen team (which often includes the owner) is unbelievable. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. One of our firm favourites to which we will continue to return."

"We were staying in Hayfield at an Airbnb cottage and wandered up the road to find this pub. The name made us wonder if it was going to be a bit of a boozer but when we went inside we were pleasantly surprised. On arrival, we were shown to our table and given details on the specials and our drinks order taken. The menu was typical of a pub which had some old favourites and a couple of fish dishes on offer. We both chose a goats cheese starter. For the mains my partner went for the chicken in a beautifully creamy sauce and I had traditional fish and chips with mushy peas. All absolutely delicious! For pudding we asked one of the very helpful, smily waitresses her opinion on the best dessert and she suggested the Malteasers cheesecake. My partner had that and I had the blueberry cheesecake perfect! The staff are very friendly and smiley, they make time to have a chat with you and the food and service was excellent. We would highly recommend visiting this pub and if ever visiting Hayfield again we will be back!"

"My partner and I are both vegan and wanted to support a complete vegan business. The shop is small but is bright and clean. We were informed that there was a new menu which was a bonus for us as we liked to see new and fresh menu ideas. My partner decided to order a tofu based meal with rice (which we was told later it was jasmine rice) and that meal was delicious, I tried it too and it was full of flavour especially the rice. The salad was also nice. I however ordered a tofu tower burger. The side salad was the same as the salad on the burger so that for me was too much of the same thing on 1 plate, the burger had 4 pieces of small tofu cubes on it and that doesn’t exactly identify as a “tower” burger to me. It wasn’t horrible but it was more like a mix of bread , salad and a few tofu cubes. The cubes also make the top of the bread cake come off when eating it. It wasnt quite the experience I thought I may have. 2 meals that were completely different in quality and eating experience, strange. But…. I would try here again as I would like to try other dishes perhaps. We also had take away cakes which were ok but not leaving me wanting more. It’s left me a little confused if the over all experience was good or not but I think it would be fair if I tried again. I would also like it if the staff wouldn’t talk next to us about other people and what they get up to on Facebook."

"from a full vegan menu we were just told a few dinge not gluten-free. we had two garlic bread pizzas, two main thing to share a big salad, one juice and paid £36! the personal was not unhappy to provide vegan and gluten-free people like some places. eating was really good. even the avocado in salat was creamy soft."

"The Pack Horse is a rare gem that seems to balance being BOTH a terrific pub full of locals and tourists, AND a Fine Dining Experience without any hint of pretention. Pretty much everything about our experience was great. It is quite expensive, but IMHO it's worth it. We had a cocktail each a cocoa espresso martini and a signature old fashioned. Both were outstanding with surprising flavours that really worked. The 3 course menu is £52pp (August 2024) and definitely worth it, in that it includes a pre starter (we had a fantastic gazpacho with home baked bread and herby butter). The wine list is quite pricey but there are excellent choices by the glass. Service was great. This is not just a(nother) gastro pub."

"This a must visit cafe right in the heart of Hope in the Peak District. Quirky seating inside and plenty of outdoor seating at the back in a sun spot. It has a place to hang and lock your bikes at the back, so cyclist walker friendly. Great food and drinks. My favourite dishes include the vegan BLT, vegan granola bowl, vegan flapjack and decaff oat milk cappuccino. Friendly helpful staff."

"I came here to stay for NYE with my family including our puppy. First when we arrived our puppy got bitten in her face by an aggressive dog in the restaurant I reported this to the staff but nothing at all was done about it, the guy behind the bar just shrugged his shoulders at me. It was VERY expensive for a 1 night stay, without breakfast. The food was also VERY expensive and not very good quality the fish batter was tough, garden peas were hard and undercooked and the chips were burnt black. The custard was thick, lumpy and cold. When we got to the room we had to listen to lots of disturbing noises from our neighbours which went on all night. My poor children are traumatised by this awful experience. The playground is extremely unsafe and needs lots of things fixing, it was literally hanging on for dear life. Safe to say we will never return here. And definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else."

"The starter we had was absolutely gorgeous (halloumi fries), however, the main was very disappointing. I had fish chips and my husband had southern fried chicken burger and both of them tasted like they weren’t made fresh but were frozen. The texture for both of them weren’t great! I also don’t know if it’s just the time we went (Sunday lunchtime), but there was only one staff member serving, which meant that service was rather slow at least until another staff member started their shift. Service was alright though."

"5 of ate here on a Friday evening eating on the outside terrace. The food and service was second to none and truly authentic serving Greek beers, wines and spirits. Unfortunately we were only stay for a couple of days so did not get the opportunity to eat there again. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would happily return if were were back in the area."
