Fabulous Hemingway martini cocktail or two before our meal. Souvlaki skewer combo was superb. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

We are visitors to Buxton and have eaten at Ithaca twice (last April and tonight). On both occasions the food has been freshly cooked and delicious and the service is excellent... These staff have been well trained. Highly recommend.

We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation, but they were able to seat us right away. The staff were all extremely friendly and the menu was so good that it was difficult to decide what to order. The food was delicious and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend dining here.

I made a reservation at this restaurant before going to the theatre, and the food was excellent. We started with bruschetta and stuffed vine leaves, both very tasty. For our main courses, we had sea bass and a mixed kebab with chips and salad, which were both very good. There weren't many dessert options available as we were given the wrong menu, but the service and food were still excellent despite this minor issue. Overall, a great dining experience. View menu

We managed to book a last minute table at Ithaca for New Year’s Eve and we’re so glad we did! The food was incredible and tasted amazing. The menu was really varied and authentic. I had the baked feta and the sea bass, which was delicious. My partner had the lamb kleftico and goats cheese to start, which was amazingly rich and the meat was super tender. The service was brilliant and we hardly had to wait for our food, despite it being a very busy night for the restaurant. And to top it off, the price was very reasonable for the amazing meal you get (including great cocktails and digestives). If you’re in Buxton, you really should visit this place because it’s amazing!

My wife and I have been to Buxton several times over the years, but this restaurant somehow went unnoticed by us. We were so happy to have discovered it because it's really good. The interior has nice tables and seating areas, and the food is of high quality and well presented with attention to detail. We started with delicious garlic mushrooms, followed by mixed kebabs with the most delicious crispy roast potatoes. The staff is friendly and the prices for food and wine are reasonable given the current economy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant, even for those with discerning tastes. We will definitely be back. - Edward and Christina McAlpine...

Really nice restaurant great atmosphere great staff such a shame about the food , we were expecting typical Greek food with great taste but what we got was OK at best borderline bland.I had the meatball in tomato sauce to start the meat balls were tasteless and the sauce just bland rather like a plain tomato purée really not the highly seasoned tasty traditional Greek style food I was hoping for, for mains I went for the tarragon chicken unfortunately again just really bland and lacking any real taste or depth. My wife had a similar experience with her fish cake starter and chicken souvlaki nothing like what we have experienced in many a Greek tavern on our many island holidays. Added to the... View menu
