Last night, I stopped by the small bar area for a couple of pints of Stella, which felt much cozier. I ordered two burgers from the Saturday burger special, and they were served hot and absolutely delicious. The quality of the burgers was outstanding, and the chips were great too. It's a lovely spot to relax. We enjoyed a few pints while watching a narrowboat being lifted out of the canal from the beer garden. It was the perfect way to brighten a dull afternoon. This is a fantastic local pub that serves incredible food. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the garden was beautifully maintained. There was also a large indoor space with rustic seating and a log burner for cooler or rainy evenings. The dishes looked amazing, and even though we had already eaten, I couldn't resist ordering something. They had fresh pizza dough prepared for the pizza oven, and the Sunday roast looked massive, with some guests opting for delicious kebabs. I can't wait to go back!

Really enjoyed our meal here. We were given a nice quiet spot which was perfect for us as we were catching up with family. Service was great, really attentive and we weren't rushed about when we wanted to take our time. Biggest star of the night was the food. Fresh and meaty portion of fish, crusty well-filled pies and all bursting with flavour... well done guys. If I still lived near Derby I'd be back again pretty soon.
