"We absolutely adore this restaurant. We have visited for pre-theatre meals, ordered takeout (tonight), and even enjoyed just pakora when they had live music during events like Hangerfest and Gala Day. The food, service, and prices have always been exceptional. The service is super friendly and our meal on a Saturday evening was served quickly. The food was excellent, especially the special dish of the day. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The atmosphere in the lovely building is fantastic, a huge improvement from the old Cabin tearooms. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be returning. "Absolutely disgusted at the way my Husband has just been treated in this establishment. Came for our anniversary meal at recommendation of work collegues being new to the area following moving up from England. We asked for a table for 2, which we were given a booth straight away. After this we waited over 15 mins for a menu, i was on the verge of walking at this point to be honest, looked at numerous times by the staff but no menu. A girl came over with the menu which she brought over, we ordered 2 drinks. When the bar woman brought the drinks over she informed my husband it was a non sports pub not allowing team colours and he was not allowed to wear the top he was wearing, which was a long sleeve Rangers training jumper. I had to watch my husband shamed in to taking his jumper off in a pub AFTER ordering our drinks. He was stood at the bar when i asked for a table should it not of been mentioned then when noticed? There is no mention of this on the website and certainly not on entering the pub, no signs what so ever. I paid for the drinks and left. I will never return to this place no matter who tells me great reviews. I suggest your staff put a notice on the website and the foyer window if this is how you feel. An English gentleman from Manchester, surrounded by 4 great teams (city, utd, Liverpool and Everton) made to take of an insignificant Scottish team top is disgusting. For those reading this review, we had a lovely meal and drinks else where spending £100 quid. There loss is another restaurants gain!"

"Always a popular spot. Current restrictions have limited sitting in. The hot deli sandwiches are so tasty and highly recommended. We always opt for a mixed salad box to sample the selection as all the salads are great and full of flavour. The pastries look lovely and golden. Great value for money and definitely fast becoming a regular spot when heading to Strathaven. One thing...A better soft drink selection would be great. We get the whole artisan approach...but tbh the majority are blah or yuk! Can we just have a full fat coke please.... and from the only people really justified to call it that!? I'd rather spend all my money here than buy my lunch and then head to the co-op for a decent drink. Thanks."

"We visited the other day for the first time and we were impressed with the warm, cosy atmosphere, despite the restaurant being empty, aside from us. The staff were all wearing face masks and socially distancing, which was a thumbs up, plus it was clean inside too. The garlic bread was also delicious.Unfortunately that's where the positives end.The staff were attentive, but the restaurant seemed to be far more focused on deliveries and phone orders than on those of us within the premises. They have a VERY limited menu and, to add insult to injury, we found that one of the items we wanted was no longer being offered and should have been removed from the menu (arancini), due to lack of interest from people and limited availability of ingredients. The food also seemed to take ages to arrive and there wasn't much outlook.The pizza was well made and different to most other places, but I wasn't much of a fan, as it didn't have much cheese and included the tomato skins within the sauce. Overall I've had better, but I've definitely had worse too.I think the place was oversold to me and I had high expectations that weren't really met.Would I recommend it? Yes, it's worth a visit, as it's in a nice location and an unusual, old building.Would I go back? I wouldn't hurry back, but I'm glad I've at least tried the place.N.B. "First time i have ordered from here, it was recommended by a friend. Called at 6 10 and placed my order. Was told it would be about an hour. At 8.10 i called to ask where my order was. The gent on the phone insisted he told me delivery would be over an hour and continued to argue the point. At this point (8.10) it had now been 2 hours since I placed my order. I was then informed that it was just leaving to be delivered (another 10 to 15 mins wait) and asked do you still want it !!!! Even if the food us amazing, i will definitely not be ordering from here again. They 're ni6t the only place locally."
