The Classic - Menu

The food is excellent, the service is efficient, and the value is great. I will definitely be returning. A visit to this restaurant on Main Street in Limavady is definitely worth it.

I hadn’t been to the Classic in two years. The food has improved (based on my meal) since then. I had a lovely Applewood Red Onion tartlet with Garlic fries, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The standard was great, equivalent to a decent restaurant in Belfast. The food was cooked well and was not too oily. The salad was also quite nice. View menu

Good food but please be aware that if you are paying your bill by credit/debit card the transaction will appear as SUM UP Xtreme Gym I cancelled my credit card at great inconvenience to myself as i thought this was a fraudulent transaction on my card. The restaurant management or staff do not advise you of this when you go to pay. They need to get this sorted ... why use another company profile on your card machine?

We had the Sunday Carvery here at £17 for 3 courses it was fantastic value for money. The surroundings are tasteful welcoming the staff extremely attentive. The food was outstanding fresh, hot plentiful. One of the best carveries we've had. We had to wait a while on our dessert but it was kindly deducted from our bill not necessary but very much appreciated! We don't live anywhere near Limavady but will be returning solely to visit The Classic in the future.

We booked a table for 6 (advise booking due to covid restrictions). The food was really nice and came out at the same time. All six of us enjoyed our meals and the desserts were delicious. Pints of Guinness and cider were very reasonable (unlike some restaurants in NI who have hiked their prices up). Only criticism would be the time it took to ask if we wanted any drinks which happened when we were asked what food we wanted to order. Would recommend for families and couples. View menu

This restaurant used to have great food, and the staff are still very friendly, but now the quality has gone downhill. The chicken wings were rubbery and fatty, clearly microwaved. The chicken escalope was frozen and watery. The house wine was vinegar-like. It's disappointing because the lunch deal is cheap, but I would rather pay a bit more for better food. The floors are slippery, probably from being washed with too much bleach. I saw many elderly people struggling with how slippery they were.

I attempted to pay using contactless as I usually do, but it didn't work. After three unsuccessful attempts, my PIN number was blocked. The cashier informed me that the machine was unreliable. I contacted my bank, who confirmed that my PIN was not actually blocked. After returning to the restaurant to try again, my PIN was still blocked. I drove into town and found that the ATM indicated it wasn't blocked. I recommend avoiding the questionable card machines at Lidl Tondu. This experience definitely put a damper on Mother's Day.

Early evening on a Sunday in early summer and the place was 80% full – a good sign. We were seated and had drinks orders taken promptly. Irritatingly, the menu was not the same as that advertised on the restaurant’s web site. The fish selection had been reduced from 5 to 3 dishes, while the prices had increased. Why do the owners of such establishments not take the time to update their on-line menus and thus avoid annoying their customers who arrive to find what they had been expecting to dine-on no longer available?
