"stay here for two nights during the visit of the family in the opposite beautiful old, jagged pub (think low ceilings, open fires and comfortable chairs). our room was in the caves in the rebuilt barn building over the parking lot and had steep stairs to him so check them with the staff if they think they could not be in the position to manage them, there are other rooms in the ground floor. our room was really nice, a double room in white and gray with a bright scree and kisses that a bright airy feeling. large bathroom shower room provided with care products, but watch her head when she uses the loo in this room, as the man his head a few times because of the low deck no damage to head or wall, but it made him jump 'until he got used to it. tea and coffee accessories with (yippee) a small refrigerator with fresh milk in it no uht pods here. also cookies are available. beautiful full English breakfast both morning with very good quality sausage and smoked speck and personal were attentive, friendly and polite and had no problem with the desire of my mannes for a smaller cooked breakfast. in the breakfast menu there is any quantity choice if not a complete English for it. four of us ate here on Monday night and although we warn, it was a limited menu (this was the week before Christmas, so not sure whether this was only for this time or if this is customary for a Monday night as they had a deal on two nets for the price of one) there was still enough choice for everyone. absolutely tasty duck for one of us, cake for the other three and charge freshly cooked vegetables. managed a scrumptious dessert and went into bed filled. we will book here again safely if we are on this way in the not too far future."

Beautiful pub, incredible food. A cut above your usual pub grub with lots of interesting choices as well as the classics! Lovely staff and good service. Highly recommend!!!

Food was lovely, fresh home made. Separate lunch menu offering salads sandwiches. Nice big garden. Very accomodating staff. They had run out of haddock so instead battered a sea bass fillet to go with the fish chips dish.

Was a very busy Sunday lunch time and the food was lovely however the plates were cold and the waiting time between courses was really slow, 2 hours from start to finish! Just wish they would of had fewer bookings and attended the customers they had more efficiently

We enjoyed a fantastic Christmas lunch at the Clifden Arms. The atmosphere was lovely, the restaurant was nice, and the food was delicious. We chose the two-course menu and the main course servings were very generous. We were too full for dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Unplanned cycling stop as somehow missed the planned one and when we noticed we were right by a sign for The Clifden Arms. Apart for a few funny looks from the patrons enjoying their Sunday lunches and a pint or two, I'm glad we dropped in. Staff were great and coffee was very good. Sadly no cakes but crisps and nuts topped us up for the rest of the ride. Must remember to pop back for food a a pint, looked great.

ate am cliften on Sunday was unfortunately only a frying dinner. the costs were not too expensive for what they get (taking into account the prices of similar operated). quality was reasonable, but there were some problems with missing items from the plate and overcooked chicken breast. the personal (which are very polite) has given us a pleasant art and wise this right, and the amazing desserts (educated) have been for the unconsistent qualities of the main. in total the pub itself and the people who run it make a visit worth a visit, but it has restrictions on drinks and menus. If I think how bad the place is, I would still advise you to visit!

absolutely lush! brilliant service, nothing too much annoyed. beautiful flour mill from the 14th century with amazing decor. plots perfect for functions, family trips on sunny afternoons. the wedding marquee was still from the season and was quite fair size. the rooms were well thought out with everything they need, full care products, good tea and coffee selection, white fluffy towels. the heating was easy to use, room cosey with small sky window. the breakfast was lush, we went for the vegan full english and was not disappointed. we wanted to stay longer. would definitely recommend. beautiful little pub, what they would expect in the landscape of oxfordshire.

This picturesque place must be exactly how the typical English country pub is commonly perceived, with its thatched roof, oak beams and a cosy atmosphere at the bar and with a separate public bar, mainly for locals who come here just for a drink. Actually the word 'typical ' does very much relate to people 's perception as, in truth, there aren 't many pubs as pretty as this. They have a decent selection of ales, predominantly from the local Rebellion Brewery. The main menu is fairly standard pub food, but they also have a varying specials menu which is not huge but offers a more interesting selection of dishes. Prices aren 't cheap, but reflect the quality of the food. There is a very good...
