Wow, what a size the fish and chips are. Comes out on a baking tray. Lovely well cooked food. Staff were very nice. Friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money.

We were recommended this place by friends and we were not disappointed. The massive portions were delicious, served piping hot. A warm welcoming atmosphere. We will be back!

Despite not having a reservation, we were seated within 5 minutes at this bustling square. The atmosphere was fantastic, with cheerful and energetic staff. The food was delicious, and I can't wait to return in a few nights.

This place is exceptional. We came here first 6 years ago and loved it and came back to Beadnell just because of it. Lovely food, great staff, dog friendly. What’s not to like? We eat out a lot and this is right up there with...the best. The cod and chips are to die for and I had the biggest portion I’ve ever seen! Here for a week and eaten there twice already with another one booked. You must visit if you are in town.

Visited here while staying in Beadnell with family. It’s nicely decorated, has a gorgeous beer garden which I bet is packed in summer, it was very clean and the staff were friendly. The food was okay, it’s got a small menu, so limited choice and...it’s a bit over priced for what you get, also they gave us scampi instead of chicken nuggets for my daughter which was a bit of a shock for her, but they did offer to swap them, she opted to keep them and try something different for a change! I made a reservation for 7pm but did not receive my food until 8.30pm. Other customers who walked in after me were served before, making it seem pointless to book a table. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and packed. It took a long time to get drinks and place our food order. Additionally, three out of four meals were prepared incorrectly. I understand that the hospitality industry has faced challenges, but the prices have been increased significantly. I have no issue with paying £16-£17 for main dishes in a pub, but expect decent service in return. I was very disappointed with the management at Craster Arms.

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. There were too many noisy and poorly behaved dogs present, which made for a chaotic atmosphere. The service was extremely slow, and it was difficult to get the attention of the unresponsive staff. It seemed like they were avoiding eye contact in order to avoid dealing with customers. The restaurant was overcrowded with insufficient staff, causing me to feel sorry for the overwhelmed employees. Overall, it was not a great experience. The food was okay, but I would suggest reducing the number of customers if the restaurant cannot handle the workload with so few staff members.

Very few places are open on a Sunday evening and this place was our nearest option and having read some reviews we were not holding out much hope, however we were very pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of staff so our orders were taken...quickly. Our drinks and food arrived quickly. We both chose the steak pie with mash, veg and gravy and it was very tasty. The fish and chips delivered to the table next to us looked delicious but it was enormous so make sure you’re hungry if you order this. There was a fish special available but at £27 we felt that was too pricey. Very busy tonight, quite noisy and lots of dogs. Would happily visit again. View menu
