Just what we were looking for! Met family and stayed here prior to a wedding. Received a warm welcome to this lovely old hotel. Enjoyed a very nice dinner too

A real pub with excellent pub food and top class accommodation. If you want a posh hotel, then go to a posh hotel, but if you want warm and friendly, then this is the place for you. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be coming back.

Recently moved into the area so thought it was worth trying out our new local. Friendly staff, our server Lucy was very attentive and the food we had (Lasagne and Steak Ale pie) was tasty and generous portions for the money. Will definitely visit again

Food ok .bar staff iffy depends on who is on and there mood. Public bar is nice if you can you can get to it.squires bar is better. If they only have clare house it's two miles up the road so you have to drive to the hotel or get a lift from the staff. I will not say any more about clare house.

The last time we had visited was about 3 years ago. The reason we had left it so long was because, on that occasion, we found the staff to be unfriendly, and the food not great. As some time had elapsed, we decided to give it another go and went with an open mind. This time things were very different. The staff were friendly and mostly attentive (we had to walk downstairs to pay the bill as they seemed to have forgotten us). The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. So based on this experience, we will be back. Thank you.

We only stayed for one night, using the location as a starting point to explore the area, and our experience was fantastic. The room was very spacious and well-equipped, with electrical outlets conveniently placed throughout. The room also had a well-equipped kitchen area, which was a pleasant surprise. We had dinner at the restaurant and the meals were delicious, with generous portions that we couldn't finish. Breakfast was also excellent. All the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful. Other larger hotels could learn a thing or two from this place on how things should be done!

We made a last minute booking for 2 nights and were delighted with our choice. It's a 17th century pub with accomodation. We stayed in Room 15 and it was a family room with two large double beds. It was beautifully clean with a lovely ensuite and great shower. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and the evening meal was fantastic and very reasonable. My husband had the steak and ale pie which he said was the best he had ever had and I had the lasagne which was really yummy but huge! For dessert we both had amaretto and pear cheesecake which also was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. We are so pleased that we discovered this great place.

We stayed here for one night. Its convenient for snetterton and provided a lovely homely feel after a busy day at the track. We had a family room and there was loads of space which was lovely. We had a fully equipped kitchen , dining area, settee and 2 beds downstairs and then a separate bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It's a little dated but was very spacious and well equipped and to be honest charmingly old fashioned. The village is very pretty and quiet but there was a fish and chip shop and convenience store just down the road, I wish I had got up a little earlier to explore further afield but had slept too well ! Myself and my family (a table of 4 had decided on a post payday treat and thought The Crown is spoken about but we have never been – booking here was the best decision. The pub itself is oldy-worldy, quirky and just really quite cozy.
