"I have to be honest here straight away. we didn't use the hotel, so I can not comment on that. 7 of us had a table booked for a Sunday lunch. It has to be one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time. We waited over an hour for our food to be brought to the table, the plates were cold, the food was luke warm at best, the chicken and beef were chewy. The person who had the beef specifically asked for NO horse radish, but it was on his food. The staff were great, but everything else was poor. They haven't even replied to the answers to an email they sent me asking me to rate our visit and meals."

Nice stop along a Haslemere walk. Quite pricy £3.70 for pint of Diet Pepsi.

Had a really lovely dinner- cider battered cod and chips- really tasty, generous portion with amazing tartare sauce and peas. Would definitely order this again! My teenage boys all thoroughly enjoyed burger and chips. Service was really friendly and polite- nothing too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Last minute purchase of hotel and it's amazing historical place to see folklore area on arrival Sudeep was excellent. And the service and ofcourse fantastic food. Big portions and great taste. Hotel is dated in some areas and is being updated but the beds are very comfortable indeed. As a medium lots of spirits and not alcohol. Come and try it .

Arrived , couldn't find booking initially but wanted to let us know they were fully booked very sharp and direct . Room dated and really dirty. Partner made a cup of tea the milk dropped in a lump. There are stains down the wall. Dust on the floor etc bare wires exposed on the sealing , fire extinguisher on corridor floor loosely . I have photos ..... View menu

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in total stayed 3 nights then away for 2 and back for another 4, as most of the other reviewers have said the rooms are a bit dated however comfortable. the food in the bar/restaurant was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the best thing about this hotel is the location right next to the Devils Punchbowl National Trust with its fantastic views and walks.

The restaurant and bar are comfy and serving excellent food and good quality drinks. The seating area outside was a pleasant surprise as the weather turned out to be good. However the rooms are tired. Stayed here 5 years ago and they haven't improved since then. The grouting needs redoing, there needs to be better lighting in the rooms, and the pillows were paper thin. And check the batteries in the TV remote. The team members we encountered were all lovely and helpful, especially Sundeep (I think). Conveniently placed next to a National Trust site, perfect to stretch your legs.
