"My girlfriend and I stayed near this charming pub during our short holiday. We visited three times and it was the best place we found. We brought our one-year-old pug, who is not used to socializing due to the lockdown, and we were nervous about taking him inside the pub. However, we were welcomed warmly and everyone was understanding with our dog. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and great value for money. The pub was busy, but we received excellent service every time. We are looking forward to returning. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and friendly people."

Love the Engine a great and atmospheric place. Very dog friendly. Super staff and wholesome food. Beers are kept nicely. Traditional ambience without metropolitan influence, highly recommended for that total Cornish experience. Just go if you're in the area you'll not regret it, View menu

Was staying nearby in our caravan, popped in one night for a drink. What an amazing pub, staff and locals so friendly, dog friendly too. We spent a few hours here, soaking up its great atmosphere. Wished we had called in days before as this was our last night. Well worth a visit.

The Engine Inn is a great pub. We had our breakfast there twice this week 10/10 for presentation quality and quantity. Anna and Brian are so friendly and made us so welcome. Also they made a fuss of our dog Ruby who didn’t want to leave !! On Mondays they have a quiz night which is good fun

We’ve got an anxious dog and he was made so comfortable here, fantastic service ! Fantastic food! Even better beer ! All our group have enjoyed it here so much my son was 14 today and his choice to eat at was the fire engine ! And he’s been known to be fussy lol seriously though it’s a great pub with great staff serving top notch food View menu

I had a wonderful stay with my family at this restaurant. The staff were amazing, the room was exceptional, and we were able to bring our dog. The views from our room were stunning and the breakfast was delicious. It was a great value for the price and the location was ideal for us. I highly recommend staying here, thank you for a fantastic experience.

I am disappointed to see the decline of what was once a good pub. It seems like the current management is more focused on the appearance of their waitresses with tattoos rather than the satisfaction of their guests. Our experience was very poor, as we were given a bottle of vinegar priced at 45 pence to use on our fish and chips. Unfortunately, there was no stopper or filter on the bottle, causing my meal to be completely drenched in vinegar. The manager offered to replace the chips, but not the fish. I decided to leave and will not be returning until new owners take over.

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
