"I booked and paid for a family suite. The room I got was not a family suite .. it was damp , cold, with no way of adjusting the temperature. The room was dusty and the bathroom was dirty. The general repair of all the woodwork and ceilings was disgusting. There were not enough staff around to complain on checkout so I contacted the manager as soon as I got home . They refused to accept any liability for my complaints even though I took photographs. I can't believe I paid for such a dump didn't even get the room that I booked . My family also booked 3 other rooms on the same day non of the rooms were ready til an hour and a half after the check on time either. Very overpriced, avoid at all costs ."

Went for a meal for a belated birthday and found that the staff couldn't do enough for us, from arriving until departing, been a lovely experience.

I love this hotel. So much so, I organised my team meeting here just before Christmas and 10 of us stayed here and had dinner. We also used the meeting room facilities which was great. We work for a national pub co and we were...

So managed to persuade my wife that this venue was a nice place to try for our wedding anniversary meal. It didn’t start well. No steaks available… how to recover from that given my wife was looking for a nice steak? Also how does a...

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and offers a menu filled with unique choices. We tried both the starters and main courses and have nothing negative to say - it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Thank you.

Travelled from Scotland recently to attend a family wedding at the hotel. Accommodation really nice with lovely bed and facilities. Bathroom huge and nicely decorated. Noticed immediately that all the rooms are named after characters from ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell ….. very clever and...

My family and I went to this restaurant for lunch. George provided excellent service. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The portion of fish and chips was very generous. We were able to get a nice table with lots of space since it was a quiet time. The restaurant has a spacious car park with EV charging points available if needed.

A warm welcome from Rhys, pleased to have the room from 2.00pm and not have to vacate until 11.00. The room was super and well equipped. We later enjoyed a very tasty nice meal in the restaurant which was busy and buzzing with brilliant service by our waitress Mollie. Next morning we enjoyed a late breakfast severed by George who was charming and pleased to know we’d enjoyed our stay. We have family locally so we definitely coming back.

My family and I had an amazing experience during our first visit to this restaurant. We went to celebrate my son's birthday and were impressed by the fantastic service we received from beginning to end. The food was of great quality and cooked perfectly. Our waiter, George, went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and even organized a lovely surprise with the birthday cake. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning.

"My friend and I wanted somewhere different to go for some late lunch and so we decided on the Cosy Club. Although my friend had been once before a while back, it was my very first time visiting. As you walk in, you're greeted with an almost vintage-y feel and it's great! Old paintings upon the wall and retro furniture too, but that's not all. Ascending the stairs to the top, we got to the first bit of the club which is the bar area and what a fab area it is too, to relax and enjoy and Beveridge or two. Further down is where the restaurant is located and a lovely restaurant it is too. Very ornate with a fancy oldy-worldy vibe, almost like stepping back in time. The decor and glass chandeliers make for a very luxurious, almost palatial feel. The staff were really friendly and showed us to a table where after a short time of waiting, we had water poured for us before choosing what we'd like to eat and drink. I decided to go for the dirty chicken burger and I'm glad I did. The portion size was great, and there was plenty going on in the burger; the flavours were tantalising! Everything was cooked really well and tasted good (oh and the berry cider they have is certainly worth a try! After spending time enjoying our meal, we paid for the bill and were able to make our way, with our drinks, to the bar area to take a sit and enjoy the vibe further. I would certainly recommend the Cosy Club to anyone looking for something different, with a cool vibe and great food. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant and enjoyable visit, will certainly be returning! :"
