"The room was quite comfortable, but there was an issue with the service. Our bed wasn't made and the room wasn't vacuumed throughout our entire stay, despite being informed that this would be done. I did communicate with the management, and they addressed the issue, but it shouldn't have occurred in the first place. Additionally, the hotel is not located in the city center, so if you don’t have a car, it requires a lengthy walk or a bus ride. This also means you'll have to dine at the hotel unless you have your own transportation, as there are no shops nearby. The breakfast was excellent overall, although on the last day, the omelet appeared to be just a messy heap of melted cheese (please see the first and last photos). In summary, it was a pleasant place with lovely staff."

Went for breakfast, really enjoyed our meal. The outdoor area is great too! Could benefit from having a screen for matches in the summer outside but all great apart from that.

The food was delightful, the portion sizes were generous, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and were able to accommodate us as a last-minute walk-in. I would definitely return!

The restaurant remains a vibrant and popular spot. I visited for a bar meal around 1:00 PM, and it was quite busy, warm, and noisy. However, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly. Next time, I plan to dine in the restaurant to avoid the heat and noise of the bar. View menu

This restaurant is a beautiful spot for truly great dining, and it offers an excellent location for a stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and tried the stock plate along with some drinks. The breakfast was also delightful. The service was pleasant and unobtrusive. I highly recommend it!

Nicely located just 10 minutes walking from the city centre lies The Ferryhill house, with brown cafe, restaurant, white chambers and a nice breakfast. We have had the chamber just up to the front entrance. Room was fine; spacy, nice bed and bathroom. Noise outside the room can be a bit noisy.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my wife and daughter. We were seated promptly and given menus, but then we were completely ignored. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our order, not even for drinks. This was surprising since the service is usually excellent here. We ended up leaving in disappointment.

If you're in search of a delicious meal, excellent service, and a fantastic beer garden that accommodates children, head over to the Ferryhill House Hotel. Whether you're enjoying a casual drink and lunch with friends, hosting a large family gathering, or organizing a corporate outing, the team here will take care of everything. It’s truly wonderful. If the weather is nice, be sure to reserve a table in the beer garden and don't forget your sunscreen—it's a real sun trap!
