Went in with my wife for lunch on Monday and was glad to see the Fish and Chips is on a deal every day instead of Fish Friday. Excellent meal , great prices and great staff

It’s a place you wouldn’t want to go if you don’t want to wait for a while before anyone comes to your table I was out for a breakfast one morning waited a while before anyone asked me what I wanted

I would not recommend coming to this restaurant if you care about basic hygiene standards. They gave me a glass that clearly had not been properly cleaned, with lipstick still on the rim. Additionally, one staff member laughed in my friend's face. View menu

Great visit, nice and quiet for a Sunday afternoon, great staff, great food, couldn’t be more helpful unlike to hooray Henry’s who couldn’t be bothered to listen when called to their turn. Then asked if anyone else was serving. Irritating to spoil everyone else’s afternoon. However staff were great, loved it.

Although the food was fine and the staff were lovely .... the customers were not so good! Many walked around the dining area without wearing masks and made us feel very uncomfortable. When I pointed this out to one of the waiters, he agree with me but said that he wasn't in a position to enforce anything. Surely a notice advising people that if they don't wear a mask when not sitting down and in the toilet areas, will not be served or asked to leave would help?

I strongly suspect they were short staffed when I visited not long after the lunchtime rush. However, I was blatantly ignored by a young lady waitress and had my head bitter off by a young male waiter when asking to place an order. Perhaps when 'the new normal ' post COVID arrived their manners will return. I took my business to the lovely Chop House on very nearby Constitution Street instead. Meantime, I thoroughly recommend avoiding Wetherspoons Foot of the Walk. View menu

This restaurant is disgusting. It appears to have not been cleaned in months. The bathrooms are especially filthy, with blood spatter on the walls, minimal toilet paper, a broken toilet, and cobwebs everywhere. The fish was overcooked, the chips tasted like onion due to dirty oil, and the beer was flat and served in the wrong glass. The waitress had a bad attitude and was unhelpful. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the restaurant should be shut down. The waitress should be fired as she was the worst part of the unpleasant visit.

My partner and I both decided to order the double American cheeseburger at this restaurant. Unfortunately, my partner's burger had a piece of plastic in the first bite. He immediately returned the burger and was refunded his money. Even though we had also ordered a pint and a half of lager tops, they only offered a refund for the burger, not the drinks. I mentioned to the manager that their lack of customer service and attitude towards customers may be why they are experiencing a decline in business. We will not be returning before the restaurant closes.

Wetherspoon is to be congratulated on its 'Nil Musak ' policy enabling easy conversation free from irritating interruption. In visiting the 'Foot of the Walk ' on repeated occasions, we enjoy the comfortable padded bench seating supporting an impressively edible consumption of cuisine. Recommended are the Pasta Alfredo and Quorn Nuggets. The 'Foot of the Walk ' clearly supports a regularly visiting local clientele in chat and cyberspace consuming, much commended. We do suggest that while staff are efficient and friendly they could be augmented to enable further cleaning of tables View menu
