This pub is amazing! The staff are friendly, the food is fantastic, and the newly refurbished garden is a great spot for the kids. We had a wonderful day and will definitely be making this one of our regular go-to spots!

I held my Birthday drink here with a buffet and we were made to feel so welcome! The drink was good and the buffet was so PLENTIFUL we gave some away to other customers! They deserve to do well as they offer good old hospitality!

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. My family of eight had a wonderful roast dinner in the quiet bar area. The atmosphere was lovely and the barstaff were kind. The chef deserves compliments for the superb home cooked food. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

Best all day Breakfast anywhere, I look forward to going to the Fox just to have my Breakfast Of course seeing all the wonderful characters that gather in the public bar is worth the visit. The staff are always very friendly but the pub is not the pub it used to be

This restaurant is a perfect spot for hosting small events. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond for us. The food was delicious and we even got complimentary tea and coffee. Our group of 22 had a lovely afternoon there. Thank you for helping us host a beautiful baby shower. - Georgina

This pub is lost in the 1950s and before. There is red carpet and a pink sink basin in the ladies loos. The rest of the place looks like I’ve not been touched for at least 50 years too. Very pleasant bar staff, and didn’t try the food, but then again it was all a little bit scampi and chips kind of menu, and looking at the rest of the place you kind of judge the food on what you can see around you. Needs some financial investment.

Celebrated my son’s 18th Birthday here. From the time I called to book the table to the time we left the premises the whole experience was a pleasure. Food was delicious, compliments to the chef Alice and we were served by Georgia who was the ultimate professional. The food was priced very reasonably. We as a family will celebrate lots of future occasions at this restaurant. Can’t wait to try the Sunday lunch. Keep up the good work.

Popped down for lunch last week the hosts could not have been kinder or more appreciative of NHS staff, they offer a discount on what was already great value for money food. The food was fresh and delicious there was a little wait but the standard of the food made this pale into insignificance . Everything was prepared to perfection I wish I had time to stay for coffee and desert. I would highly recommend both the venue and people who are now managing this pub

Today I had to go into Orsett so we arranged to meet for lunch at the Foxhound. I had decided I was going to have an all day breakfast weeks ago so I was really looking forward to it, if it didn’t come up to scratch I would have been so disappointed. We first had a drink in the public bar with my hubby’s mates a bunch of old drunks lol which is not much to look but his friends make up for it because they are lovely. The staff are always lovely too and I can understand why Chas likes going up there most days for lunch time drinks.
