The server, Vickie, was a little on the greasy side, but the beer was outstanding, and the pub itself was very cozy and inviting.

Was here at a party for my cousin's birthday, which was held in one section of the pub, other side was open for regular customers. Bar staff friendly efficient, nice feel to the place. We had a buffet laid on which was good, so can't speak to their normal menu. All in all, reasonable prices, friendly service nice atmosphere. View menu

We stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary and it was INCREDIBLE! We can’t fault the service, the room was spectacular I’ve never seen such a big bed in a hotel! They included a Dyson fan in the room to help with heat! It’s in a prime location, loads of restaurants around it and parking was easy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Rooms: 5

Lovely spacious, clean and well furnished room with ensuite. All the radiators were on when we arrived, but we could turn them off and were provided with a Dyson Cool (without the remote). Very warm and stuffy on 1st floor corridors. Breakfast good, great to have on-site parking, and even though our room was at the front we were not bothered by the traffic. We had a beautiful family dinner with 11 of us, including babies, small children, and adults of all ages! The food was delicious, with plenty of options to please everyone. The portions were generous and beautifully presented. The roast looked fantastic, complete with all the accompaniments and homemade Yorkshire puddings! The pub had a lively atmosphere that was both cheerful and relaxed. Our server, Patrick, was very friendly and personable. We will definitely consider returning! I loved the homemade drachenbiscuit that came with my coffee—it was a delightful touch. Overall, it was a very relaxing lunch with no pressure to leave the table. Thank you! View menu

the people here said they had a bad experience at this place. I don't understand how you can! the staff are some of the kindest I have ever met in every drinking water plant. eating is nice, had a really good cake. it is the same size as a teller, but tastes amazing. well made to the chef! the decor would also have very well marked, but unfortunately there was a broken mirror in the toilet. I haven't been here long, but I can say this is a lovely pub offering homemade food in generous portions. Some staff members have changed, but I know Paul is a great guy. Frankie, Porgey, Luke, and Little Shane are all excellent cooks in the kitchen. Jon, the owner, is a tough chef who worked with me from 2011 to 2014. He truly cares about his customers and insists on high standards of service. I can only assume that the reviews during his absence might reflect different experiences. I've learned a lot from Jon, and I genuinely miss the regulars; they’re all great people. We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding nearby, based on a recommendation. The hotel boasts a fantastic bar area with plenty of quirky seating nooks and an impressive cocktail menu. Our room was lovely, although it was a petite size. Nonetheless, it offered plenty of storage for our needs, and the tea and coffee selection, along with complimentary chocolates and Sloe Gin, was a nice touch. The bathroom featured a wonderful shower and handy night lights. The bed was also very comfortable.
