"It was wonderful to see the restaurant bustling on a Friday afternoon. The food that others were enjoying looked delicious. Although we had already eaten, we enjoyed some hand pulled ales which hit the spot. The locals and bar staff were friendly and engaging, making it a pleasant pit stop overall."

"Our first time in the restaurant, it was recommended and to be honest it wasn’t what we expected, felt like a sardine very cramped to say the least, staff were ok, ordered lamb tikka masala the wife had chicken tikka with a salad, 4 poppadoms the sauce’s came the onions were just white onions no sign of tomato purée, the meal came the lamb was very chewy and after ten minutes the wife had to ask for her salad because they had forgotten it, I’m afraid it’s first and last time for us.by the way I told the owner of my concerns over the meal ,also when I booked the table I was told cash only no card ."

"We were visitors to Maryport and looking for somewhere to get a Sunday lunch, this seemed to be an option so we went in and tried it, it was a bit unorganized although there was plenty of staff they seemed to be slow at the bar, however once we had ordered our food it came very quickly, it was plentiful and tasty and most importantly hot, prices are about average, 2 Sunday lunches and 2 large soft drinks £25 March 2020"

"After having difficulty finding somewhere to eat in Maryport we thought we had struck it lucky. There was a board outside advertising food, we went in and ordered drinks but when we asked fir the menu were told that food was on the other side but we could take our drinks with us. We were then stopped by two different members of staff who told us that we could not take drinks through but as we had already been told we could they would 'allow ' us to. The menu looked delicious but the waiter and waitress who served us were clearly not happy in thier work. One managed a little smile but the other was not a happy bunny. The food was okay but marred by the atmosphere. We then asked for espressos but were told they couldn 't do them after 9pm! That 's a new one for us. Really odd. When we went to pay we thought we would leave a tip but were told that management keep them. For us that is a complete no no. The management I am sure make a lot more than thier staff and gain thier profits from running a prosperous business and should care for thier staff. Spoilt what should have been a special night for us."

"My family arrived at the Wave, and parked in the car park over the road, and we walked through the small path to the side near the drinks machine, where we were shocked by birds trying to attack us from the canopy up above,,my grandchildren were very frightened, this is where we nearly went home, not just because of the birds,but because of all the bird POO,,it's was disgusting and it looked like it had acumilated over a period of time,,,the drinks machines and windows were covered to we ran to the main doors to find it shattered but still working ,,now I would think these problems to be health and safety issues...Please, please, please Wave staff/manager sort the Poo problem out and smarten your beautiful building up, you have and work in fantastic environment and everyone I talk to says the same.. NOW... My family were very hungry, (that's the reason we didn't go home The carvary was EXCELLENT,,(except for burnt yorkshire puds, lol, truly it was. There was plenty of choice for everyone it was hot and very tasty the little ones liked the fact they could go back for seconds and thirds if they needed to,they didn't, because they were storefed and so was there granda.... ,,,what let the meal down for me was seeing the chef and assistant,, uniforms looked dirty, I know they probably been extremely busy, but please, it made me think what was the kitchen like!!! "
