The Golden Lion, Weymouth

I recently visited this restaurant with friends and found the rooms to be nice and very clean. The staff and owner were very welcoming. I will definitely come back to visit and bring my family along.

Ordered a drink and chose from the menu on the table 'Food all day ' ? Went to order at 6.30 and told that they only did food until 6pm ... menus were still out and no mention of that on FB page and website

another beautiful dog-friendly pub .the renter is really nice and made them feel really welcome. he even brought a water bowl and a bit of meat for the little lady. they are new and I can see being such a very popular pub. will be back soon

For breakfast, we enjoyed a full English meal with coffee and orange juice. The food was cooked to order and delicious. The chef was friendly and chatted with us, and all the staff were welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again, especially since there was live music on both nights and the place was bustling with energy. Thank you, Sharon and Gary!

We had a great family meal at the golden lion (9 of us) A good selection of proper pub food. All the meals turned up at the same time, well presented, good quality at a good price. Very clean tidy pud even had loo...paper so I was informed! Not local to the area otherwise I’d make it my local. We will be recording it to friends that are in Weymouth next week. Well done guys. Far too many underage drinkers! Must have been 15-20 underage and very drunk by the pool table area. Falling all over the place then descending into the street shouting and laying in the road. Bar staff and management not asking ID and serving people that...had obviously had too much to drink. Shame as it used to be a great place to go see live bands but now it’s like a drunk underage disco. All being sick in the toilets and not being clean d up either. I will not be back.

I have removed the golden lions 4 my own man and our two close friends a night of a kiss. we came to the old lions and were met with so much greeting that the land lords could not have been more beautiful or helpful (. 1st place where we have ever stayed, where we were so welcome. ) the rooms were clean with fresh towels. eating was fantastic and they could not help us when they tried. I can honestly say that this place is brilliant and I can't wait 2 coming back in a few weeks.This place with its great location its brilliant rental and coworkers is the best so if they want to go a beautiful inviting tempo.we loved every minute.

Arrived late in the afternoon on a very busy day during Jubilee Weekend Friday 3rd June. We were given the room Admiral Hardy which is a family room. We settled in quickly and noticed there was a good supply of tea and coffee and plenty...of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom (shower only). The room is a nice size and had two soft comfortable beds. The room was clean and we had a continental breakfast in the morning. The new owner is Johnny and he really made our stay. He is personable and helpful and I will definitely be staying here again with the family due to the great location by the harbour, shopping and amenities. Also pleased to see a hairdryer in the room.
