"We loved everything about our dinner at the Good Egg in Stokey. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was buzzy but cosy. We shared several plates between four of us which worked really well. Fish koftas and lamb shawarma were highlights, and the zaatar fried chicken as always!! Great wine too. We particularly liked the dessert menu, with the raspberry sumac marshmallow or tahini chocolate truffles to finish your meal with just a bite or two of something sweet. These were great value and good for sharing. Can’t wait to come back!"

The Good Egg in Stoke Newington is the culmination of an adventure that saw two friends popping up at street markets around London serving up shakshuka and stuffed pitas.

Perfect dining experience in terms of food (so tasty), service, value for money. Only bad thing was a dog being allowed in the restaurant on Thursday night, it did ruin the vibe for us

The general vibe of the venue was so wonderful, we were some of the first guests to arrive at 7pm on a Saturday and by the time we left around 8:30 the place was full. Service was wonderful, the waitresses were both extremely friendly and attentive, the meal comes out bit by bit was paced excellently as we were sharing everything. Food was out of this world delicious, I can’t recommend the chicken and the cabbage dishes enough. I just know that I’m going to be a regular, and bringing any friends that come to the city to meet me!
