"This small pub is charming and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food, however, was average. My partner enjoyed the Chicken liver pate, which was bought in but tasty. I had the prawn cocktail, which was presented in a small glass tumbler. Although it was nice, the presentation was a bit odd. The peri peri chicken lacked flavor, but when I mentioned this to our server, he brought me more sauce, which unfortunately didn't improve the taste. It was more like roast chicken. My partner ordered the Wild Boar Ragu, which was stodgy and tasted like Heinz Spaghetti. The overcooked spaghetti and sauce resembled Heinz spaghetti sauce. We didn't have dessert, so can't comment on that. Overall, we were underwhelmed and a bit disappointed, especially since we had heard good reviews about the place. We probably wouldn't go back as our experience was not as expected. It's possible that we just didn't choose the right dishes."

Good value and lovely food. Would definitely recommend a visit. Nice pub but limited parking so could be busy at certain times.

Well done Greenman for putting in an amazing beer festival. Great music, fab beer. An absolutely great event just proving what a great pub this is.

Tasty and good value for money lunch on a Thursday. Apparently one week is fish and next week is meat. Roaring fire certainly enhanced the atmosphere. Would recommend. View menu

Always enjoy visiting the green man.. it's in such a quaint village and surrounding. Well worth a Sunday walk or ride to. The staff are lovely. The locals make you feel welcome and the food supplied is good and traditional And they have a local brewery too, so local wine can be experienced

Stopped here for lunch and all really enjoyed the food in the garden overlooking a pretty meadow and local fields. Would recommend the spinach and mushroom soup, served with excellent, freshly made, bread. The veggie pasta dish was also tasty and the chef made a fresh omelette for our elderly mum. Great service too. Thank you! View menu

The welcoming owners, affordable homemade food, and locally brewed beer make this place a hidden gem. I don't visit this area often, but I will definitely be returning. The small and slightly outdated bars add to its charm. The view from the garden, situated on a small hill, is lovely. Note that they only serve food on Fridays to Sundays.

Enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch when visiting the area. Both the prawn cocktail and the smoked salmon and prawn starters were fresh and tasty. The main courses were superb. We had the roast beef and the turkey and gammon both were excellent with large portions of meat, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings and gravy with mixed vegetables to share with 6 different options. Typical Sunday lunch choices but very well cooked and presented. Good value for money too. We will be back.

"We came here on a last minute hunt to find a Sunday roast with family without much expectations. However when entering its a lovely set up and we were greeted by Lee and Alison who looked after us for the meal who just to begin were absolutely brilliant, they really care about the customers and make this place extra special. Now for the food you can get a 2 or 3 course meal so everybody made various selections but all had starters. Most went for the Aarancina which isn't your usual starter with a Sunday roast but for here it packs alot of flavour and is a great way to start the meal. They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages I went for a simple beer. For the main roasts we had a variety of meats I wanted the pork but sadly they had no crackling which was half the reason for ordering but if I am being honest after eating the meal it wasn't missed out the meat was tasty full of flavour but the sides were the key. The roast potatoes were of a top level usually when you eat out they are never as good as eating at home, the Yorkshire were huge and tasty, gravy brilliant with plenty to go around and lots of veg and cauliflower cheese on the side. Honestly this was excellent a really good roast probably the best I have ever ate in a resteraunt. Some of the others had the lamb shank which was huge and had great feedback but the beef was great and so was everything else. So yes check it out eat in and eat some great food in a nice setting with absolutely brilliant service you won't be disappointed."
