"I have never experienced such a cold welcome from a pub. We arrived at 4.40pm on Sunday so between the busy period. We only wanted a drink but after waiting nearly 10 minutes at the bar we were totalling ignored by the barman. Not even giving eye contact. He was admittedly busy preparing drinks for diners but to totally ignore someone standing in front of you is frankly rude and shows lack of client services. A quick I’ll be with you in a moment seems to be missing from his vocabulary. Other staff members did the same and to cap it off a diner came up to the bar and spoke to a staff member to order a drink. So will not be returning to this establishment and unless you like rude staff I would avoid."

Very warm welcome and the Sunday roast is a thing of joy! Sat outside in a beautiful garden which has separate little areas for each party. An idea borne out of Covid I imagine but it’s great. It gives privacy too.

We haven't been here for years but will be returning again and again for sure. Really spoilt for choice with their wonderful menu. The home made tartare sauce was so delicious, I asked for more! Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. 10/10 from my family and I!

We stopped here on the off chance after visiting the Tank Museum Tiger Day. The linguine and burger were tasty with generous portions and the venue was so welcoming we returned on the Sunday evening when they reserved a lovely Sunday roast. The accommodation didn't come up when we were researching the area and it's something we would definitely consider if we return to the area. View menu

Called in late afternoon, hoping for a late afternoon bite to eat and drink. What a lovely find, although they were very busy with a private function nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all so friendly and offered us the full menu. My Son had the Pork Belly and I had the Burger and chips. All the food was really delicious and the chips were to die for. Staff and locals so friendly, really cosy pub with comfy sofas, great variety on the menu and very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for a wonderful cosy afternoon, we will be back soon to try your Sunday lunch.

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
