"This little restaurant with only a few tables is very busy with takeaways. We had a little table for two in the window of this converted shop unit. The service was diffident and perhaps even a little bit nervous. It took two attempts ordering to get the right drinks. We only ordered a main course as we were going to a show after the meal but there was quite a wait before it arrived. I think that the reason for this is that all the meat; in our case, chicken and lamb were cooked from raw for each dish. Most Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese restaurants precook the protein so that it is guaranteed to be tender while maintaining it in biggish chunks. This was not the case here. the chicken and the lamb had been cut into strips and then sautéed before constructing the sauce. The result of this was that the chicken was overcooked and the lamb was crusted and quite a hard eat. The flavours were good but the bizarrely the sauces had been thickened with perhaps cornflour or arrowroot giving the dishes a very odd texture. To my mind, the aubergine side dish was perhaps the best part of the meal. Having said all that it was not expensive; under £50 with drinks. I will not however, be going back."

Never disappointed Quality is excellent and the Lamb is Delicious. A small yet nice relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing food! Very fresh and tasty. Momo were the best! Best Nepalese restaurant I've tried so far. Would highly recommend.

The food was delicious but service very slow patchy. Starter plates not cleared, long wait for food drinks. Nothing one extra member of staff wouldn't fix.

The food at this restaurant in Bexhill-On-Sea is absolutely amazing. The mixed grill was fantastic and the paneer chili was deliciously spicy. The owners, a brother and sister who run the place with their mom, are exceptional people. View menu

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! We stopped by on a Saturday night and were able to find a table easily. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the spicy dumplings which were a standout. The mixed grill was also fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic food and so good that the next day we wanted more but that's when the wheels fell off, I called and was told we arnt taking orders for half hour because we are too busy, no you can't order for collection in X time call back in half hour. Not good business sense, i ordered Chinese instead.

Went here for a meal before a concert at the de la warr. Food was outstanding, massive portions and beautifully presented. We couldn't eat it all. Service was excellent too. 2 of us had 4 large poppadums and dips plus 2 starters 2 mains and 2 large glasses of wine and a pint of cider was £60.00 highly recommend. Outside looks a bit dated/tired but you won't be sorry !! View menu

My partner and I visited this small restaurant in Bexhill for the first time tonight. Everything surpassed our expectations. The food was absolutely incredible, with amazing flavors and taste. The service was excellent. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to the management and staff at Gurkha Kitchen on Sackville Road in Bexhill.

This super restaurant has been a great favourite of mine for 16 years!! The Nepalise cuisine is renowned for its use of aromatic herbs and spices and is, in every way, quite unlike Indian and Bangladeshi ghi butter enhanced dishes. You will receive a very warm welcome from the staff. A great bonus for the discerning diners of Bexhill is that the Gurkha is now open from 4.00 p.m. on Mondays, when almost all other Eastern themed restaurants in Bexhill are closed.
