"I recently visited the George Inn for the first time and can truly say it was the best pub experience I've had in a long time. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The beer was delicious and the food was exceptional. The steak was cooked perfectly and all the sides, including the hand-cut chips, were fantastic. Kudos to all at the George for setting the standard for how a pub experience should be done!"

Good food and friendly bar person. Arrived at 3.50pm so wasn't sure if chef was cooking but yes they did and great food. Dog friendly too and beautiful seating out area to the rear of inn. Car parking too at the back of inn

We were looking for a dog friendly pub for lunch in Alford. The George Inn looked so welcoming, and when inside, the experience was great. Staff were very friendly and food, especially the lamb shank, delicious. Atmosphere was friendly with locals and holidaymakers like us, chatting away together as we ate and drank. Dogs very welcome too. Recommended.
