"Been here a number of times since their opening as well as having many takeaways delivered from there and I’ve always been pleased with the food. Last week I ordered my regular dish, a king prawn palek curry only to receive a dish which was unusually smelly, (even for fish) prawns which were chewy and certainly didn’t taste right. I immediately rang to complain thinking that my curry would be replaced but no, I was told the next time I went into the restaurant that I would be ‘looked after’ Tonight my husband took our granddaughter there for tea, it was a disaster. Not quite sure what has happened, if there is a new owner or even a new chef but we won’t be going back there. Overcharged on set menu, no discount given on the part of the meal we ordered to take out, food mediocre, constantly interrupted by waiters etc etc Be aware that despite there being no information that you pay 10% more if you pay with any type of card as apposed to cash, this also applies to takeaways. We will not return"

Food is average. It's a Bangladeshi Indian Restaurant and the same is reflected in the flavour. We were getting the raw taste of the spices in the curries. Ambience and service is good.

Kesar provides a beautiful blend of great Indian/Nepalese food with a lovely ambiance to make a dining experience for any occasion worthwhile. We went here with group of friends and every dish is so well made and curated to fit any palate. The customer service was impeccable and we enjoyed every bit of our dining experience here. We can’t wait to be back again!!

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."

"Been wanting to come here for a very long time after driving/walking past it, and my partner has wanted to come here since she’s moved here. Hand sanitizer upon arrival with track trace check in code. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and all very masks. The lady we had who served us throughout our time (apologise I forgot her name began with A I think), she couldn’t have been anymore helpful. With a very wide range of food, she told us everything on the menu was very nice as she has tried everything! The decor of the restaurant is what I’d expect in a typical Italian restaurant, very rustic and has a feel of being in Italy. To start I had the belly pork with Jack Daniels sauce, I’ve never tried belly pork and it was so tasty and very tender. My other half had the goats cheese in filo pastry which was also very nice. For mains, I had the Risotto con salsiccia (spicy sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, tomato and chilli). It was so nice I’m glad it was a big portion as I wanted more! I don’t think the sausage was spicy but overall I was very impressed. Other half had a cheese chicken mushroom calzone which was also nice. We had a nice bottle of white wine which absolutely complimented the whole meal. For dessert I had sorbet and other half had a deep fried cannoli once again both really nice. Reasonable priced meal for two people, and very highly recommended. Plenty parking and we will be back soon with our family. Very authentic home cooked Italian food and Cafe Casita is way better than some of these chain restaurants!!"
