Friendly staff, great atmosphere and lovely food. The vegetable lasagna was really good! We will definitely be visiting the Ketch again the next time we are down that way.

If you're a steak lover, don't miss out on Steak Night at this restaurant on Fridays. Located near Carsington Reservoir, it's a great spot to dine. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and they even welcome dogs, which is an added bonus.

the food was nice and was quickly served, the staff was very friendly and helpful. a beautiful relaxed atmosphere with the additional company of the two lovely local labradoren. an additional bonus was because it was Mother's Day, my mother-in-law and I had a free glass of Prosecco results! would definitely recommend.

I recently visited The Ketch for their Friday night steak night and ordered the Butcher's Block cooked medium rare. The quality of the meat was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back for another steak in the future. It was the best dining experience we've had in a long time.

Following my last review which wasn’t great , we returned to ketch after the owner contacted us and offered us a voucher to come and try again . We were impressed that she took the time and care to do this . Went on a Friday steak night and had a great evening . Lovely service , nice atmosphere and the food was tasty . Really happy that is was good , we’re local and will definitely return here again now .

Hidden in plain sight, the Ketch serves home cooked, delicious and hearty meals. The portions are generous and the ingredients are locally sourced and freshly prepared. The landlords are friendly and very accommodating and it's clear they have invested a lot of love growing the establishment. We also stayed in the newly built apartment via Air BnB. The appartments are very clean and comfortable. Best of all, the site is very dog friendly.

We had previously visited this restaurant on a steak night and had a great experience, so we decided to go back for a family birthday celebration on another steak night. However, it turned out to be a disaster. The starter was raw, the sausage was cold and undercooked, and the mixed grill we ordered was missing a steak. They had mistakenly put it on another plate and made us transfer it ourselves. To make matters worse, there was egg shell in the eggs. This was a huge disappointment as our first visit had been wonderful. Unfortunately, this experience has put us off from returning to this restaurant.
