"Asked for a grated cheese children's sandwich, received a miniscule, thin cheese spread sandwich, costing £3.50 for just this no sides with it, not worth the money at all compared to other deals at cafes we've been too. My son did not like the cheese spread, which is why I asked for grated. When I mentioned this to staff, that it didn't have grated cheese on, they said they didn't serve grated cheese on sandwiches to children even though it was on their general food menu with other dishes, so they had it in stock). They did remake this but told us that this was a one off and to next time not ask for it, the waitress was rude and was relying this message from the kitchen. We will not be eating there again as this was poor customer service. My son my very upset. We have been to plenty of other cafes who are more than happy to provide slight alternatives to food if necessary."

Lovely place to walk, dog friendly. Plenty of seating, you can take your own food and drink or buy from cafe, pub.

It's a lovely walk with dog or without. lots of industrial architecture with ruins of old watermills railway bridges, canals, aqueducts and a river. There are also ponds. As you drive towards the park you will pass a farm with chickens crossing the road. Yes I did ask.

They do dine in even though on Google it has a cross next to it who wants to sit outside in the cold wet weather in these winter months.Coffee very nice but was bit confused when it wasn't served in a cup it was what looked like a reusable ceramic cup I sat inside.Nice decor inside very cosy love the fireplace.

My brother in law and I cycle the 5 miles there on a Sunday morning to get breakfast. Always clean and fresh at the cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee and especially the bacon and egg barm are the best. Cooked to perfection every time. There is a caravan/camping site right next door walkable) and river side and parkland walks there too. Dog friendly and even a steam railway adjacent. Lots to do and perfect to blow off the cobwebs any time of year

Had a coffee in here before a business meeting in July 2019. Was greeted with a very warm welcome from staff as I walked in, and even though the place was very busy it appeared clean and tidy. Also nice to see a lot of dogs, and clearly a focus on making them welcome. I ordered a large latte, which was brought over to me promptly and served with a big smile (although no little biscuit – which is always a shame! . It was a very nice coffee – smooth and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend, and would certainly call in again when I’m next in the area.
