"The food seems reasonable for the price. I enjoy the food and the jasmine tea is nice. They refill the pots at no extra cost. I have been over the years and it has changed a bit in style and quality of food. I think the staff are nice and considerate. They check if we want to wait between courses, or if we are resting etc. I never feel rushed on the busy nights and often they recommend on portion sizes. I often go on quiet nights compared to weekend busy nights so my experience may be different conpared to other reviews."

I can't actually rate this place highly enough 5 stars doesn't seem to do it justice.

Love the Cantonese roast duck and the fried rice, can’t wait to try other dishes too!

I definitively agree with Angela's reviewIt is a Chinese restaurant, but with a difference. View menu

The Cantonese roast meat at this restaurant is outstanding! I highly recommend it. The portion sizes are generous and there are many delicious authentic Chinese dishes to choose from. I will definitely be returning.

4.5 stars, but I have to be picky and give it a 5. The soup was delicious, the spare ribs were fabulous, and the crispy bark and roasted rice were excellent. Even the onions in the rice added a lot of flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and satisfying meal.

The dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic, and I was impressed that they can also speak Cantonese. I have visited this restaurant more than 10 times in the past few months for family dinner deliveries. Here is a list of my favorite dishes to try: 1. Must-try: Hot Spicy King Ramen (with lamb) 2. Baked squid with green paprika in black bean sauce 3. Salted dishes View menu

Even though the food was delicious, I was not pleased with the fact that the restaurant seemed to serve as a busy walkway for delivery services and takeaway orders. I requested a table at the back for a quieter dining experience, but was told it was not available, even though all the tables were set. The constant traffic and door opening/closing made it feel like a train station platform. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I had heard amazing things about this restaurant, so I decided it was finally time to give it a try. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We opted for set menu C, which was only £25 per person and definitely worth it. We started with prawn crackers and dips, followed by delicious starters, spicy soup, and duck. For the mains, we were even allowed to switch one dish from the set menu. I highly recommend this place.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
