"As a Muslim it was hard for me to find a halal place in Stamford as my car was being serviced. Strolling through the village me and my wife came across The Lean Pantry Co. I was so glad to know i won't be eating a sandwich meal deal from M&S and rather having a proper lunch which is all Vegan. The variety is really good and not limited as this place specialise in serving Vegan food. I had a sweet potato jacket with tuna and salad, it was AMAZING. I would strongly recommend anyone who is a vegan or prefers halal food.. try The Lean Pantry Co. I also had a Cherry Bakewell sponge cake, Mrs had Vegan ice cream with a Vegan Chocolate Fudge Brownie.... If i had 10 thumbs, they would all be up.. PERFECT!"

My family of three came to this restaurant for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried the mango chutney wrap and the chicken and avocado wrap, both of which were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!

The restaurant is a stunning location with a magnificent view of the Christmas tree in the city square. We sampled the eggs on toast, celestial white chocolate, and turmeric latte, all of which had a delicious and well-balanced flavor. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for coffee and brunch. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. The coffee is excellent and perfect for a morning pick-me-up. The brunch menu offers delicious and affordable options. The bacon sandwich stands out with its fruity brown sauce and high-quality bacon.

eating was great, perfect and delicious. the drinks were also beautiful, no complaining. waiting for our food was about 10 minutes, maybe less, but that can differ from what they order. the two ladies were professional, friendly and have made their job very good. had a nice lunch there. is highly recommended.

I highly recommend Lean Pantry to everyone. The food is always delicious, fresh, and of high quality. The service is friendly and all requests are promptly attended to. It's the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch, a light meal, or just coffee and cake. There are plenty of options, including many vegan choices. The waffles are especially incredible, as well as the cakes and hearty toast options. It's a cozy local spot and one of my personal favorites.

I had heard that this was a great spot for coffee and cakes, so I decided to stop by for brunch. The menu was small but decent, although I found the portion sizes to be a bit lacking for the price. The eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection, but I still left feeling hungry. The coffee was very frothy, but unfortunately, it was cold. I had hoped to try some cake, but the rude young waitress made me reconsider. After all, it's supposed to be a coffee shop.

Incredible food with a massive selection of tasty savoury food and beautiful cakes with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, amazing coffees that can be made vegan too with a selection of non dairy milks. A really lovely setting to come in and relax with a drink and a cake! I visit regularly as the food is so good and the choices for me and my wife who are vegan and vegetarian are amazing. Free parking just around the corner is ideal too! Love this place!

I was shopping and wanted a quick coffee. I didn't want to go to one of the big chains so I decided to try this place. The frontage was great and the interior looked inviting. However, when it came time to order, I was disappointed to find out that they didn't have skimmed milk. This was a problem for one of our group members who can only have skimmed milk. It was surprising to me as I have never been to a coffee shop that didn't have it. Sadly, we had to go elsewhere as a result, even though the place seemed to be a nice independent cafe. If I were alone, it wouldn't have been an issue, but unfortunately, it didn't work for our group in this instance.

"The Stag Inn is a delightful looking pub overlooking the small green in the village of Barkston near Grantham. Internally the pub is clean and tidy with a range of two and four seater tables with New England shades of light blue on the painted table legs in the restaurant area. We didn’t venture into the pub side so can’t vouch for the decor in there. We arrived unannounced just after opening time of 12 and were offered a table with no difficulty. There was a menu of the usual offerings of fish and chips and a range of burgers together with roast salmon, chargrilled pork chop, a leek and cauliflower cheese pot pie, ham egg and chips and a vegetable lasagne amongst others. A specials chalkboard hung on the far wall and the crab and prawn salad with Mediterranean bread sounded so good we both opted for it. That was a mistake as we were to find out. The meals were reasonably quick to arrive and were served up in two large bowls with a dusting of paprika round the edges. What hit me immediately was the large flaccid green lettuce leaf draped over the edge of the bowl, together with a whole half-a-lemon that we each had. A small wedge would be perfect. The bread tasted sweet and was as far from the Mediterranean as it could possibly be apart from the occasional input of sundried tomato. What irked me most though was that the bread was delivered up pre-buttered with what looked like some bright yellow catering spread. A small ramakin of real butter between the two of us would work so much better. When asked if everything was okay I mentioned this and was told that chef would be informed. Having said all that the crab and prawn salad was full of flavour and sat on a nice mixed salad of red peppers, lettuce, red onion and cornichons. A word of advice to the wise….. don’t sit at the table near the restaurant counter as this is where the pub’s phone is located. On at least two occasions the phone was left to ring unanswered by the staff, presumably as they were busy elsewhere (the pub was by no means full) and was right behind my head! The volume of the ringer was high and it would have been a more pleasant experience for us if, firstly, it was answered and, secondly, the volume was turned down. On the plus side the staff were polite and helpful but the food not so great."
