"We visited with a friend mid week with no booking and the restaurant was very busy. We were asked to sit in one of the beautiful lounges and offered a drink til they prepared our table. In no time at all we were taken through to the restaurant. It has a lovely lunch menu, reasonably priced and the food was terrific. I started with locally sourced smoked chicken salad which was enjoyable indeed. The main l went with was sole with a shrimp and cheese mousse, equally delicious . We all were pleased with what we had and the service was just right, pleasant ladies that were attentive and we had a bit of chat. One slight damper was the failure of their internet that resulted in my card being declined twice for no reason other than poor internet connection. We were with a good friend so we’re not embarrassed but I can imagine how it could have felt in a different situation. Would absolutely visit again happily. Thanks for a lovely visit."

Decent Sunday roast beef being the special today. Chef taken great care with all of it (roasties, mash, parsnips, carrots, Yorkshire, cabbage). Starters a bit more standard but staff super friendly.

food was quite good but the portion sizes seem to indicate that they had run out of some food. It was too expensive for the quantity served. Perhaps as it was high season with lots of guests (mainly golfers)

Have been before and have never been disappointed. We hadn't booked but we were welcomed and given a table straight away. Within 15 minutes the place was pretty busy. The Early Menu had something for everyone and was great value. Waiting staff were attentive and welcoming.

My friends and I stayed at the hotel for a golfing weekend and we were extremely impressed with the overall service and quality of all our meals. We will definitely be coming back next year. Chris and his team go above and beyond to make sure that all customers are completely satisfied.

Super traditional, old style, family owned restaurant in a beautiful castle green location outside trendy North Berwick. Food is fine, service is friendly and the ambience is welcoming. It can get very hot in the brasserie area because of the big picture windows, but without them there is no view.

Visited the open arms restaurant on Sunday 14/07/2019 the service was very slow, the starters were of poor quality.the prawn and mellon cocktail was a disgrace and grossly overpriced.the two main courses were the stake pie with Stornoway black pudding, this was of a better standard.asked for the bill waited twenty minutes then just paid at the bar.this was my fifth visit here and it will be my last.the restaurant was not busy the service was well of the pace.

The Open Arms has a restaurant that offers fine Scottish cuisine. We had reserved a table for lunch with the family on a Sunday at Open Arms and were allocated a table in the Library. Whether it was the Sirloin Steak or the served lamb, all the dishes were delicious. For dessert, there was an excellent Sticky Toffee Pudding. The service was really good and fast, and we were pleased to have made the right choice with the restaurant. If you can plan your visit in advance, it is advisable to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

Located in Dirleton, this restaurant has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The menu is varied and the Sunday lunch options are sufficient. The 3-course menu is reasonably priced. I dined in Deveau's conservatory, which had a nice and light decor. The mussel stew starter and haggis wellington were delicious. The slow-cooked lamb with berry sauce was very tasty, as was the breast of chicken stuffed with haggis wrapped in bacon with whiskey sauce. Don't miss out on trying the sticky toffee or caramelised fruit meringue for dessert. Overall, the food was excellent and the service was friendly.
