"I was very impressed by every aspect of the restaurant, including the menu selection, food, ambiance, comfort, and excellent service. I did find some items on the menu to be a bit pricey; for instance, the meat and fish dishes we ordered were delicious, but perhaps a little overvalued. I would have preferred if they offered a dry rosé by the glass instead of just the options for dry or medium. Nonetheless, I would definitely return, as we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The friendly service truly makes a difference!"

We visited Malham to enjoy some walks and relax for a few days. Fortunately, the weather turned out to be lovely. We were lucky to discover the Lister Arms. We had dined here a few times, and when we found ourselves stranded in the village, we decided to extend our stay for another day. The staff, service, food, and quality of the rooms were all exceptional. This is the best place to stay in this beautiful part of the world. View menu

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We visited twice in the same day!Great food, great service, dog friendly, but best of all, the atmosphere here is perfect. Lots of friendly staff and customers, fires lit, nice and warm and dry with warm lighting. Wonderful and everything you want from a hearty local pub. Better than competitors. Thank you for everything, and it was nice to meet you and your son Goose and I hope you enjoyed your late dinner! Food drinks: The best

I cannot recommend this pub/hotel highly enough for a dog-friendly getaway! From the staff, who clearly love dogs, to the friendly service and delicious food, it truly has it all. On Friday, we requested some hand towels for our black Labrador, Oliver, and they provided us with two great towels made especially for him without any hassle. What a fantastic touch! The location is perfect for exploring Malham Bay and Tarn, and it exceeded all our expectations. Thank you, Youngs!

"If you haven’t been to Beck Hall, what are you waiting for!! This beautiful, totally dog friendly hotel is set in an absolutely stunning location, with fabulous rooms that cater for comfort, style and cosiness. We stayed in Room 9 which had dual aspect windows and overlooked the river, it was literally right under our window. To fall asleep at night with the window open listening to it was bliss. We had a sofa in our room flat screen tv, tea/coffee facilities, fresh, crisp bed linen (a super a comfy bed) and an excellent rainfall shower in the lovely bathroom. From the moment we arrived with our elderly Westie boy, we were given the warmest of welcomes by Linda, Julie and the team, they were such perfect hosts. Every guest is personally shown to their rooms, a lovely touch to make you feel at home, and I loved that dogs are welcomed in every aspect of Beck Hall, there is no ‘out of bounds’ areas for them. Beck Hall provide separate fridge/freezer facilities for your dog food and medication, comfy mats for around the restaurant and the snug and there are lots of doggie treats on offer too! Our boy dived into his bed in our room and was so chilled he was asleep in seconds. The restaurant is bright, and welcoming too, and special mention must go to the Chef and team, the food is absolutely delicious. I had the Sunday Roast, and it was the best I’ve ever tasted, the home made Yorkshire puddings are humongous and literally melt in your mouth. There is a great choice for breakfast, from home made porridge to a full English breakfast my diet went completely out of the window! It is ideally located for walking, with Malham Cove a short distance away, and local paths that vary in difficulty, so there’s plenty of choice. Nothing is too much trouble for the team they were wonderful, their upbeat manner and great sense of humour just added to our enjoyment over our two night stay. I noticed that there were quite a few returning guests, which is no surprise, we can’t wait to book another stay. The big hug that Linda gave me as we were leaving just endorsed the ethos of Beck Hall they make you feel like family. When you search for the ideal peaceful getaway, and you find somewhere like Beck Hall who have perfected it, then it’s time to put your feet up, eat delicious food, drink good wine and sleep peacefully listening to a river!"
