This is a lovely pub with great staff and lovely food. The staff are very pleasant and cant do enough to make your visit great. Definitely in our eyes the best pub in the area.

Absolutely fantastic place! Very welcoming with excellent service. The bartenders were outstanding, even though I did deplete their supply of Midori! I would give it a 20/10 and highly recommend it. The dining experience was beautiful, and the service was great! We'll definitely be back.

on Sunday the lbj visited the early evening. eating was excellent, the best frying dinner I ever tasted in a pub restaurant! the vegetables were cooked to perfection. the service was also good with the managers who wait for the tables and at the bar that give the whole culinary experience the personal note. I've been a regular visitor for over 20 years, and my experience with two friends last Saturday did not disappoint. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was extraordinary, as always. The staff were friendly and efficient from start to finish, making a special fuss over my friend since it was her birthday dinner. I can't recommend this pub highly enough. Looking forward to returning soon! x

We were pleasantly surprised to have gotten a table at lunch time on a Sunday as most pubs are always booked up. We sat near the door next to the log fire which was idyllic considering the pouring rain outside. The pub has a lovely, friendly vibe (not least because it is dog friendly which was the best thing ever for me! , and the food was possibly the best food I've had at a pub to date. My husband had liver and mash, I had fish pie and veggies beautiful, tasty, comforting home cooked food, in a beautiful and comfortable surrounding. The LBJ has rocketed to my number 1 favourite pub! :

I have a fond memory of visiting this pub nearly 20 years ago when my kids were little, and our recent return was fantastic. We had the option to dine in the garden and choose between the pub menu or the BBQ hut. The starters arrived quickly and were enjoyable. Three of us opted for the BBQ, while one had a halloumi burger from the pub menu. The BBQ brisket burger from the hut was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, accompanied by delicious fries and a generous portion of coleslaw. The halloumi was huge and satisfying.
