"Disappointed given the reviews here and elsewhere. It's an achievement to mess up french onion soup but this restaurant managed so to do. Rest of the food ok but not more than ok. Experience also not helped by initially being given the one table in an upstairs room that want occupied by a large party. Though in fairness the staff did move us immediately when i insisted. Had our booking been much later in the evening I think we/ they would have struggled so to do as what is a small restaurant was quite full. Wine list limited and somewhat overpriced. Even though it is quite cheap, better value available elsewhere."

This is one of my top restaurants in London. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. The absence of loud music allows for pleasant conversation during the meal. Highly recommended!

Superb value, beautiful ambience and surprisingly large portions of good value food. I had the liver to start with which was good but the lamb wellington for my main course was sublime. The 16.50 per person was so good that I have made another reservation next week. A hidden gem!
