"Our experience at this restaurant got off to a rough start as the owner was working at the time. It seemed like he lacked knowledge about running a pub, as he didn't seem to know much about beer and had poor customer service skills. We were served a pint with strange white deposits swirling around, which he reluctantly exchanged. The replacement pint smelled and tasted bad, but when I mentioned it, he rudely told me to choose another one. The second pint was decent. I asked him to try the questionable beer, and he admitted it was off. He then disappeared, leaving a female staff member to handle everything from taking orders to serving drinks and handling bills for about 18 tables. The food was average, with the scampi and chips priced at £11 being particularly disappointing. I would recommend going elsewhere as the owner does not deserve your business."

During the lockdown, we took advantage of the takeaway service at the Lord Nelson pub for fish and chips. We ordered for three households and were delighted by the hot, crispy, and tasty meal. It was a welcome treat that cheered us all up during these challenging times. I highly recommend their food, which truly made a difference. Thank you, Lord Nelson pub!

once again, we have just the most amazing meal, even in a very short time! our great friends from bath said both things like: “I haven’t eaten such a meal for a long time” and “that was the best burger at all” when we had to say absolutely something. it was hard to talk about how we were in “food sky” at the time. as far as this is lame, well, lucas knows you know! the menu changes regularly and eating is always fresh and very tasty. many thanks for another great night all!

Just spent 2 nights in the Lord Nelson Inn and loved it. The rooms were quiet and very compatible with a good night's sleep. It was clean and homely. Alistair the Landlord was friendly and welcoming but not overpowering. Dinner there was lovely, thought had been put into the dishes to add a little twist to them and there was a good selection between the menu and specials. Breakfast was just as tasty as dinner. It is only 6 miles off the M4 and 15 mins into the Bath Landsdown Park and Ride. It was a lot cheaper and quieter than staying in Bath, all together a great little find.
