This was the absolute best place we stayed on our visit to Scotland! We only stayed on night, and it’s my one regret from the trip that we didn’t stay longer. The welcome and service was excellent, the room was perfect, and the breakfast service was delicious! I want to plan a trip back just to visit the accommodations again! That feeling of joy when you discover a beautiful place. Outstanding venue. Outstanding staff. Lovely gardens. Exquisite food the best of our week long adventure (Scallop starter is our recommendation! Be mindful that this hotel sits on a working harbour yet the hotel is extraordinarily peaceful. We also recommend walking the short trip into town and go exploring. It has some surprising buildings and quirky things to discover. A lovely hotel and a lovely short stay.

Had a lovely 2 night stay with my wife and parents travelling from Singapore. Amenities were well received after some days of travelling in the highlands. Our host David was meticulous, conscientious and optimized our stay the suggestion to visit Kerrera island was spot on given the weather. We were also very taken with the local F&B recommendations EE USK stood as a trip highlight, and we have shared our experiences with my extended family in USA and Singapore. I am a staff member here. I've worked in various hotels and with all honesty this is one of the loveliest places to stay in. We take pride in making sure guests are welcome and diligently make sure room are spotless. We are also now open at 2pm every day to the public for teas, coffees and snacks such as scones. We have a beautiful view overlooking Kerrera, Maiden Island and Dunollie Castle. You have the option of sitting on or sitting outside in the garden. We are located in a more quiet area of Oban so if you are looking for a more serene spot, here is the place to be. :

Best breakfast we had in Scotland. The staff was wonderful, and the location perfect for all we wanted to do. Rooms: Very nice. Nearby activities: Close to the ferry terminal to take the ferries to Mull and Iona. Safety: Very safe. Walkability: It is downhill to the ferry terminal and town. I was not feeling my best, so I would take a taxi back to the hotel at the end of the day. Food and drinks: The breakfast was amazing. We were unable to get reservations for dinner as they were booked each night we were there, but I understand why. Stephen was very helpful in helping me select a whisky to try. Our stay at the Manor House was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. The staff were truly exceptional and knowledgable. My husband is very interested in history, and Daniel gave him a very detailed tour of the House and answered all of his questions with aplomb. We felt very welcomed and cared for, and the staff had pre-arranged for a special vegan meal for us. Our server, David, was outstanding. The food was incredible--we live in Los Angeles where we have some of the best vegan restaurants in the world, and yet this hotel in a seaside Scottish town provided one of the best meals I've ever had in my life.
