"This morning i thought i would have a breakfast and a coffee as i came in with my wife about 3 weeks ago and enjoyed everything about it including the 4 legged friend's. Im registered disabled with needs that I have to address everyday. I was involved in a very bad accident a few years ago which left my right leg and my right arm smashed so whenever I go anywhere I position myself where I’m least likely to get banged as I’m still undergoing treatment and rehab on both my leg and my arm. my arm sticks out in a 45° angle and I need to tuck it in whenever I go past things because my arm does not bend, I have to be sat in a place where my arm is tucked away and is unlikely to be knocked this is preservation of my health it is to stop me getting injured more and the embarrassment of somebody hitting it and me being in pain and it’s just being Sensible. when I went into the mockingbird this morning I got asked if I would sit at a two seated table which is fine because I was on my own but instead of sitting in the middle of the room i asked if I could sit in the corner that i had sat in before as no one was there anyways and the young lady said that was fine so no issues. so I sat down, I’m looking at the menu and while deciding what I was having which was going to be a breakfast and a coffee a gentleman came across and asked me if I would go and sit in the seat that I was asked to sit in originally and I explained to him that I have a disability with needs that i have to address and the suitability of that table explained to him and I must address, where he went oh that’s fine it’s just that dogs come in here and we like them to be in a corner but there were 2 dogs already in there and not in corners and I explained that my arm doesn’t move and I would like to sit in the corner to stop my arm getting banged, yeah that’s alright he said but then he continued behind the counter to explain to me the dogs like to go in the corner which I said i was more than happy for that to happen but he insisted that I left the corner, to that I got up as a would be paying customer to leave the corner empty for a non-paying dog to come in at some point. At WHAT point is it more acceptable to allow a dog that wasnt in the cafe to take precedence to somebody who has a disability. I left feeling humiliated and left. I felt really belittled when leaving and very upset for that reason I won’t go back again now and yeah it’s unacceptable"

Popped in on a soggy Saturday morning after some shopping in Yarm and had a sausage panini, cheese scone, orange juice and a cappuccino. All delicious, fresh and well made. The café has a lovely vibe and smashing decorations small but perfectly formed 10/10 thanks very much View menu

My family and I visited this deli this afternoon (9/2), and we were greeted by a friendly lady who assured us that our pram was welcome inside the cafe. All of the staff were welcoming and accommodating to my two children. The coffee was excellent, and the two scones and slice of chocolate cake were delicious! We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Called in for bite to eat and a coffee early morning last week. Had read reviews so looked it out and glad we did. Small dog was welcome. Food was well cooked/prepared and the cappuccino was the best I’ve had outside Italy. Not milky coffee. No chocolate on top to disguise lack of coffee. Delicious. Service efficient and the background music was brilliant. Thank you.

Stopped for quick bite as was dog friendly.. quite expensive for a basic sandwich and drink. Busy and most tables were in use, it’s very small inside, as are the tables. owner or manager must have been to suppliers as for the duration of our meal he barged in and with various packages. He was very loud and spoke to staff and customers in quite a curt manner. Reminded me of Basil Faulty.. I couldn’t wait to leave.. food was ok, other staff lovely. View menu

I observed a woman from a mixed-race family approach Mockingbird Yarm and express shock at the inappropriate 'artwork' on display in the window. She quickly moved her young daughter away from the offensive image so she wouldn't have to see it. Needless to say, they decided not to enter the shop, and I followed suit. I find it baffling that anyone would proudly showcase such offensive content. Additionally, claiming there are two supposedly separate butlers depicted in the artwork, one resembling a traditional 'Jeeves' character and the other being completely distinct, does not excuse the offensive nature of the display.

I visited here flying solo with my two young children (aged 6years and my baby at 9months). It was a little congested to get in with the pram and no highchairs are available due to limited space. However the staff (one lady in particular) did everything possible to help me. I fed my daughter in her pushchair. I had the most delicious goats cheese wrap and my son enjoyed his croissant (which was actually two) and he loved it. Delicious decaf coffee for me. Baby changing facilities weren't available again due to limited space but a lady staff member made me a makeshift area for this. She also very kindly chatted to my son and gave him some drawing so I didn't have to drag him along. She was so...
