"Visited this weekend for a family celebration and had an unremarkable experience. Decor of establishment was rather nice. Admittedly, we were a large booking of 17 individuals and this can be challenging to manage and organise for such a small establishment. The mature gentleman was rather rude to our host whom asked for an additional chair for the party as we were one short despite finalising numbers as agreed earlier in the afternoon. This is no way an appropriate manner to treat guests and clearly set a bad example for his staff as well as the wrong tone for the evening ahead. Guests were not even properly seated before being hounded for their drinks order despite not being given a drinks menu. Upon asking about cocktails to the waitress whom was pleasant she was unable to give the full selection just the three she knew of the top of her head that were the standard run of the mill selection. To give full credit to her fo honest regarding the diaquiries before we ordered them in. The cocktails (passion fruit martini and cosmopolitan's) ordered were disappointing as they tasted watered down and lacked a bang. Don't understand why one of the passion fruit martinis was brought out in a drinks glass which was rather random. Drinks orders were taken on an ad hoc basis with the waiting staff not taking a full tables order walking away as people attempted to give their drinks order, unintentional maybe? We were rushed to give our starters/mains orders all of which came promptly and all guests received the correct order. The waiting staff shouted out food orders from the top of the table to identify who's order was who's. The pasta based dishes were pleasantly enjoyed yet the pizzas and parmesans proved to be somewhat vanilla. Not all guests had properly finished eating their meals before the gentlemen asked if he could remove plates before receiving an answer from the full table resulting in some guests to not finish their meals. We were not offered a deserts menu once they removed dishes from the table. We had second hand embarrassment for an additional family party whom were having a celebration meal at the restaurant. The party had started to get settled at the table putting out their balloons etc when the mature gent stormed over barking at them to move as he shoved table and chairs across the restaurant. This clearly made them feel uncomfortable as was noticed and commented by the service users of the restaurant. The waiting staff plonked the celebration cakes on the table one of which didn't even go to the correct individual. NO SPECIAL MEMORY OR MAGICAL MOMENT TO BE HAD FOR A 18TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. It would have been nice if they had asked before bringing it out as some of our party partially missed out on the occasion. The bill was given to the wrong individual instead of the host which allowed for everyone to see the bill when this was an private affair. To be perfectly honest we visited a few months earlier and had a disappointing experience but with better service. Linthorpe Road is bursting with alternative, superior, independent eateries that I would highly recommend instead."

This restaurant is fantastic. The welcome was excellent and friendly. The staff were polite, professional, and willing to assist. The atmosphere was lovely and enjoyable. My companions and I all loved the food. It was worth the price. Thank you.

Ordered a few starters, potato skins were nice, not so keen on the garlic bread it was so thin and flimsy and £6.50 wouldn’t have again) Main meals very nice, hot and tasty. Quite a few sea food options but as I’m allergic to fish then no good for me so had the chicken. Wine £22 a bottle which was good! Very quiet but was a Wednesday All in all would return

My girlfriend and I had a date night at this restaurant based on recommendations from friends. We made a reservation and gave it a try, but we were disappointed. The food was bland and lacked flavor. We had to add extra salt and pepper just to try to improve the taste, but it didn't help much. We both felt that it was not worth the money and decided that we won't be returning in the future. Second visit to this Restaurant as we don’t live in the Middlesbrough area. Had a great meal, my choice was Prawn jambalaya which was excellent both in content and quantity. The other members had different Pasta dishes and were equally impressed. The young, friendly and efficient Staff got the pace of the meal absolutely right. Lastly the prices are sensible for the food the wine and soft drinks. Super evening.

We had a fantastic night at this restaurant. The food was amazing and most of the service was top-notch. Unfortunately, one young waitress with long dark hair was rude and abrupt. She would haphazardly drop orders on the table, often not even close to the intended person. It was disappointing because the rest of the staff were wonderful. We weren't the only ones who noticed this issue. It may be beneficial for the restaurant to consider retraining her as she is detracting from the overall pleasant experience.

Decided to try Fellini’s for a date night as it was recommended to us by a number of our friends. We wish we hadn’t. A once great restaurant seems to have lost its spark and gone downhill. We decided on a bottle of wine 3 courses. All of the food we received was cold, greasy tasteless. The garlic bread starter was literally dripping with grease was so thin you’d miss it if you blinked. The prawn pasta starter was unimaginative, tasteless, far too heavy. The parmo mains were again tasteless. The ice cream was okay but not worth the price. We both agreed that this was the worst food we have ever eaten we won’t be back. Spend your money wisely by visiting one of the other restaurants in the are... View menu

Great to book with then changed numbers which was fine , we had quite a large gathering so I think we all understand the need for head count. However the space we were allocated was a bit squashed , asked for an extra chair from one of the girls ! However the owner I presume came over with quite an attitude not impressed by the request saying you were told final numbers were asked for I told him final numbers were given that day. The food was ok , lovely meals for some and not for others. Felt we were rushed on courses , had 2 birthday cakes , these were presented even before requested so not all guests were at the table when these were brought over by the staff !! One of the cakes was not e...

It was our first visit to Fellini’s and the menu looked really tasty. We had only popped out for tea so decided to share some potato skins first, these were fine, served with a nice garlic butter. My wife had the Penne Forlevese for main which we thought was really nice. My Peppercorn Chicken was not so nice. The sauce was extremely salty and not to my taste and the skinny house fries were overly crunchy. It seems a bit churlish to complain about the food being too hot but when one of you is tucking in while the other is waiting for the dish to cool down or burning your mouth, its a bit annoying. Being a typical Brit, I didn’t complain/comment to the staff which I suppose is my own fault. I...

"We started with the Alkaline Nachos (£10.95), which featured nachos topped with marinated baked quinoa, fried beans, cashew cream, guacamole, pineapple salsa, and pickled red cabbage. The dish was drizzled with smoked cashew cheese. They were delightful, sweeter than any nachos I had before, and had a nice tangy twist. Next, we tried the BBQ Tacos (£9.50), which included shredded carrot in an alkaline BBQ sauce served in a crispy corn shell filled with fried beans and guacamole, along with pineapple salsa and pickled red cabbage, accompanied by a side salad. These were hands down the best BBQ tacos I've had in the north. The Thai Buddy Bowl (£10.95) was another standout dish. It featured orange teriyaki chickpea tofu, surrounded by pineapple "fried" quinoa, purple coleslaw, a Thai side salad with almond and ginger dressing, and quinoa falafels with mango chutney. The blend of flavors was incredible, and this was my favorite dish—something I could happily eat several times a week. I plan to return just for this dish! We also tried the Thai Wrap (£9.95), which contained quinoa and drippy butter falafels wrapped in a soft tortilla with mango chutney, coleslaw, and kimchi—served with a Thai side salad, almond and ginger dressing, and pineapple quinoa. The combination of ingredients in this falafel wrap was unexpected but fantastic. Once again, it was sweeter than I had anticipated. For dessert, we enjoyed the Pink Pitaya Acai Bowl (£5.50), a fruity and smooth blend with celestial blueberries, bananas, kiwi, and coconut—perfect for breakfast! It was a real power breakfast. We paired our meal with Immunity Boost Juice (£4.00 each) made from strawberry, pear, apple, and lemon juice—it was refreshing and invigorating. The Tropical Sunrise Smoothie (£4.50) blended papaya, mango, orange, banana, coconut, maple, and cashew, maintaining the unique flavors of each fruit beautifully. Lastly, we had the Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie (£4.50), featuring strawberries, banana, peanut butter, maple syrup, and lemon balm. It might sound odd, but it worked perfectly— the earthy peanut butter provided a lovely texture and taste that complemented the sweetness of the fruit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that was well worth the wait."

"Excellent food, lovely people, so relaxed. We first came years ago, visiting friends in Middlesborough (came from Bolton) and couldn’t find anywhere open to eat, then we followed our noses (and the heavenly scent of garlic) and found our favourite restaurant. We tell everyone...about it! Tonight we returned on our final night of a stay in Saltburn. We booked and travelled the min journey to eat at this gorgeous corner of Italy hidden away in the town. There weren’t many people in with it being mid-week but there was a steady stream of deliveries being collected (oh to live close enough for that and a gentleman eating at the bar. Really felt authentic. I love that this place has none of the pretentiousness you find in some places. The welcome is always warm, you never feel rushed, and nothing is too much if you have a question, ask it. You’ll feel like you’re chatting to old friends. The host (Rosetta) made us feel like the kitchen was cooking just for us and the waitress (who we remembered from last time too) was so warm and friendly. I had the antipasti starter wow! What an impressive collection of fresh flavours. See the pic! So simple but so tasty. My mum wolfed down the pâté with chunky rounds of gorgeous baguette toasts, and our friend had the potato skins. The waitress commented we had ordered good sharing options but we were each very protective of our plates! Mains came and they were equally as fantastic. I had the pizza Elianos Parma ham, rockette, Parmesan, fresh basil, and added olives. The crust looked thick at the edges but it was light, and thin beneath the toppings: just perfect. My mum loved her pasta dish with chicken in a spicy tomato sauce; there wasn’t much evidence there had been anything in the bowl when she was done! Our friend ordered the lasagne. Having sampled many, and judged whether she would return to a restaurant based on its quality, she is quite a critical diner. She loved it. The part she couldn’t manage, she boxed up and her daughter had eaten it within ten minutes of it crossing the threshold! We ended our evening with a chat with our host, smiling and content. We left with our tummies and our hearts satisfied. We can’t wait to come back!"
