The Nightingale - Menu

As always a lovely meal with friendly staff. We took a dog with us too which they were happy to accommodate.

Booked late . Plenty of room. Everything you would expect from a good pub,but pudding slightly disappointing .

Although only booked that morning we were seated at a cosy table near the fire. Excellent food, friendly, attentive staff. Lovely ambience would recommend. Good value for money. View menu

The Nightingale itself was extremely good with good service and friendly staff. The only disappointing thing was the reservation through Open Table had not reached them. Although they were very busy they did accommodate us.

We booked as a family group, originally for 6 but we turned up with 7 people which was no problem at all for the Nightingale, they accommodated our extra guest with no fuss. The food was great and service outstanding, one of our party was vegan, and there was a decent menu for him. We were all happy with our meals. Highly recommended, I would definitely go there again.

A table for 4 was reserved and everything was ready for us on arrival. We were offered both the a la carte and fixed price dinner menus along with a good drinks wine list. Service was discreet and all the meals were as ordered and very tasty. The pinot noir was very good too. We were there mid week in November so a quiet night at the Nightingale which suited us fine. Met with friends for our Christmas get together. I had booked with opentable but they had not received my booking! Very disappointed! However, they found us a table very quickly, luckily as some had driven 20miles to get there! They told us immediately that there was a delay, it was very busy, Christmas period. That didn’t bother us, hardly noticed with our chatting! Food was lovely, every one of us enjoyed our choice. We will go again!

Met with friends for Xmas meal, food was very good but he evening was marred by the staff trying to hurry us at the end and upsetting our 4 year old. She really wanted a Xmas cracker, so we asked if this was possible. We were told yes, no problem. 5 Mins later were informed that we couldn't have one because we hadn't ordered the Festive dinner! We left with the 4 year old in tears which ruined the whole evening. Can't believe they can be that tight! Will change our venue for next year!

Having arranged to meet friends at 1pm, our friends arrived early. The staff looked after them superbly until we arrived. We were not rushed between courses and staff were on hand if we needed anything. Only small criticism was when my friend requested a tomato juice with Worcester sauce but there was none; although the bottle did say that it was in there. Questionable therefore, if someone doesn’t want Worcester sauce! All round, a very pleasant couple of hours and we will return soon. View menu
