"I visited in October 2021. A very welcome lunch after a great walk on the common. They welcome dogs which is just as well given the location but they really do like to see them. The food was good, I enjoyed the duck with was nice a pink, the skin could have been crisper in my opinion for the price. Dessert was tasty. I really the feel this restaurant has, lots of different rooms so it feels intimate and cosy. Great outdoor space for better weather too. I would recommend booking at the weekends."

wonderful old pub and restaurant in a stunning location with a wonderful view! the food here is fantastic, the service is exceptional, we eat a lot and this place is one of the best, good also! good the drive from bristol worth, definitely back and forth.

Fabulous meal. We were a table of 8 in the bar whilst a wedding party were occupying the restaurant. We were looked after very well by the attentive and friendly staff. Would recommend the vegan antipasti pan fried sea bass. Really good everyone enjoyed it.

Beautiful place to stay. Lovely food, friendly helpful staff and amazing views and great location. Our room was so nice and peaceful. Great sleep and breakfast was very good choice and perfect way to end our stay. Thank you. Will definitely. Stay here again in the future.

stay here for a night 5.5.18 while visiting a family wedding in coaley. great lunch, fantastic landscape, of course with sunshine. very busy, but staff very efficient and eat five stars. room clean and comfortable, staff friendly and welcoming. would recommend. only negatiw the heating was a bit warm, but then the weather was

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The spring roll appetizer was truly fantastic, and the sirloin steak was the best I've ever had—though I did notice the peppercorn sauce could have used a bit more cream. Our waitress, Jessica, provided wonderful service that really added to the evening. I will definitely return!

What do you want me to say? we have chosen the old lodge for our little intimate high time. a perfect choice. ryan the shehnisse manager is simply his weight in gold worth. insult them with a personal touch. as well, all the employees were extraordinary. that was extraordinary. many thanks for adding to our special day. that has become our very special place and we will be back. often! it cannot be high enough to evaluate.
