The Palace Fish - Menu

Love this restuarant as the food is brilliant. We had pizza and it was lovely. We alway go here on holiday Mondays for the day. The date was 29/05/2023

No Locals Use this Horrible chippy !! Service poor, horrile chips, 1/2 a fish and no peas, bread butter or tea.. £10:50 .. biggest rip off in Helensburgh !!

I feel like the fish may not be very fresh, as it appears to be pre-battered and fried, possibly from frozen. The chips were heavy and not at all what I expected for a satisfying fish supper. View menu

Haddock tasteless, chips were part cooked and full of black eyes obvs not peeled properly. Found black curly hair on plate !!!! Staff found it funny !! Very cocky and arrogant staff !! Never again !!

This was truly the most disappointing fish and chips I have ever tasted. The fish was tasteless and was lost in an oily equally tasteless batter. The chips were stodgy. The only thing more disappointing to me was that I failed to complain at the time. Avoid at all costs!

I`m 62 years old and I can safely say this was the worst fish supper I have come across by a long shot. Fish batter was tough and chewy. The chips looked and tasted like they were weeks old. I picked the tiny fish fillet out of the stodgy batter ,ate that binned the rest. View menu

25 minute wait for one portion of fish and chips. We were not the only ones, there were many people outside waiting for their food (which we first thought was the que to order). Once received, the chips were cold and the batter on the fish was approx 1/2 thick. Fish was tasteless.

This restaurant used to be very popular, with excellent food and service. However, our recent experience was disappointing. We waited ten minutes to be served, despite being the only customers in the restaurant. The staff seemed more focused on chatting amongst themselves than on attending to us. It's clear now why the restaurant is not as busy as it used to be. We won't be returning.

Got a takeaway and was the worst experience! Was told we would get a refund through messager and then had to chase this for 3 months! Never received the refund as I was informed the company had changed, funny that the week before I was told I wouldn't receive the full refund as I didn't return the order (which I was never asked to do, would have happily done so as it was inedible! Managers were strangely never in, even though I called at different times and days, total scam artists! Will never order from here again! View menu
