"last night had a nice meal in the peach tree. it is a beautiful, quirky old building, we sat in the front window, which was a beautiful place, they think, I prefer this to the main room, as it was more intimate and cozy. my man had the special, which was skalopps and gay bell, I decided to noodle for the Korean blacks, both appetizers were really excellent, although quite large, I would have done one of them as really pornstars. for the main chose my man the pan roasted chicken and I went for the bounced halloumi. both dishes were again very good and full of taste. my was extremely full, as it consisted of a large combated piece of halloumi on a type of korn risotto, the aromen were delicious. we shared a dessert, and went for the apple pie cream brûlée, this was presented wonderfully, and the apfel wafers that were served with it were divine! our waitress was beautiful, very friendly and very efficient. I also agree with the very beautiful wine glasses that are safe on the generous side. an excellent menu with many interesting options. Unfortunately I leave today shrewsbury, but I hope that I will try some of the other elements on the menu sometime."

We tried the vegan roast and it was delicious. At £10, we thought it was excellent value for the quality.

Friendly welcome, lots of vegan options and the noodle salad was so good! One of the best vegan dishes I've tried.

The vegan menu at this restaurant is exceptional, making it easy to choose delicious dishes that are beautifully presented. It's a great option for dining with friends who eat meat, as they can also enjoy a fantastic vegan meal.

Went for breakfast with a friend and they happily accommodated after I asked if a dish could exclude egg. There were no exclusivity vegan options at the time but I was happy that they were flexible. Lovely environment and great staff.

Very good. Went for Sunday lunch with two of my children. It was busy but service was good. One had the pork and the other had beef, and both really enjoyed their meals. I had the veggie roast and really enjoyed that too. The Peach Tree is nicely done out and is a great place for a very good meal.

We have only been here for breakfast, and it is possibly the best breakfast in town! The veggie breakfast can be easily made dairy-free or vegan. The portion sizes are generous and keep us satisfied beyond lunchtime. The prices are neither cheap nor too expensive, but the quality and presentation are top-notch.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
