"I had lunch at this coffee shop on Saturday and was quite disappointed. The pot of tea was nice, but the food was not up to par. Both of us ordered a toasted sandwich, which was very disappointing. The bread was thin and there was hardly any cheese or onion. The sandwich ended up looking like two thin pieces of cardboard once it was cooked - cold and limp. The salad was brown and the crisps were soft. I didn't complain when paying because there were people around, but I won't be returning. A better quality bread and more filling would have been appreciated. I now understand why the place was empty when we walked in."

Popped in for Breakfast with family last week and had Sausage Muffin and Flat White. Great service and good quality food and drink

Chuffed with this find. Yes we had to wait for a cooked breakfast but not an unreasonable time when we had a freshly cooked and delicious spread.

Called in for our first time . Thought we would have coffee and cake. When the cake arrived it looked like someone had taken a bit out of it. We pointed this out to the server. But she was not interested. Coffee was weak. View menu

Myself, mum friend recently had afternoon tea at the perfect cuppa. Nothing was to much trouble from start to finish and the food was lovely and fresh. Susan was great during the booking process as have food allergies, she listened and was so helpful and polite. I would highly recommend

I had a fantastic experience at this hidden gem of a restaurant! I met up with some friends for hot drinks and cake, and the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The loose leaf tea was delicious and came with a tasty shortbread cookie. The homemade bakewell tart was soft, moist, and delicious, and the oatmeal cookie was crunchy and flavorful. I will definitely be returning to this place in the future!

The venue was recommended to me as the perfect local place to meet up with a friend. Staff were very welcoming and the place itself is pristine, but homely at the same time. We were not rushed into ordering and given plenty of time to get our hello over with, after years of not seeing each other! Plenty of choice on the menu for a light lunch or something more substantial. Service and food was excellent we will certainly visit again and recommend to other friends! View menu

We visited The Perfect Cuppa in Belper in May 2018 and returned today for another delightful lunch. I had a cheese and onion sandwich on white bread with a cup of homemade mushroom soup. The sandwich came with crisps and a generous salad garnish, not just a few leaves like at other places. The bread was fresh and soft. My companion had a BBQ chicken, bacon, and mozzarella panini, which he enjoyed along with a white hot chocolate that he described as divine. The staff were friendly and the cafe was very clean. I highly recommend this place.

This splendid cafe was previously known as the Strutt Street Cafe. It has changed hands a couple of times since but I have remained a regular visitor. I am pleased to say that under the present owner Sue, plus team, it is excellent. All food and cakes are cooked/baked on site, tea and coffee good quality, staff bright and cheerful. I enjoy popping in for a coffee and a natter. Most of the regular attenders now know each other and the banter and humour make a great atmosphere in this small cafe. Don't be put off if you are a stranger, come into the friendliest cafe in Belper.
