"Visited here for our anniversary meal. A lovely pub and place to eat overall. We both had starters and had a parmo for the main. The chips were delicious and got loads of them! The parmo wasn't the best we've had but fairly nice. The chips made the meal though. It was very busy when were we here so highly advisable to book as a couple we past on way in must of waited around 40 minutes who hadn't booked. Will definitely return."

Found this while on a drive about on a hot day. We just had drink and sat in a little courtyard. I’d definitely recommend this for sitting in the sun drinking. And I was fine because they had alcohol free View menu

Called in on the off chance, excellent Sunday lunch, huge portions, great home made yorkshire puds, veg served separate but all mixed in a bowl, I prefer my veg separate. £12.95 for regular but I'd have small next time

I’ve been coming here for years and always return! They’re huge and delicious portions and always surprise me with the quality of food. There’s often a wait because it’s so popular but you can call and book no bother so if you’re prepared you have no problems with waiting.

Paid extra for mushrooms and onions on a sandwich only 2 thin slices of each when it arrived! What a rip off. Fish chips came with mushy peas containing ham! As a non meat eater this was unacceptable and not pointed out on the menu. Been coming here regularly for years. Don’t know what’s happened to the place, but it’s not good sadly. View menu

We used to come here a lot but the last visit wasn’t great my meal came out later than everyone else’s (they had almost finished) and the pasta was undercooked and the small amount of chicken was chewy like rubber. The service was slow and with a bill of almost £100 for a family of 4 I just feel there’s better places to go to now sadly

Visited Tuesday evening. As a regular visitor to the Poachers, we knew exactly what to expect. Unlike the last couple of visits, it was very busy, which led to a 40-minute east for food. 3 meals, all very good quality and clean plates all round. Very good value for money, and like previous visits, we will definitely return. Would have scored a 5, but for the lengthy wait.

"Started off really well and went over to the counter and ordered a crepe with banana and Nutella and specifically stated no strawberries I also asked for a San Pelegríno still water as this was on the menu also. I was the first person to order and the last to eat in the end. I got brought my water over which was a cheaper brand water that I just paid £2 for what would I have liked to have seen ? We’ll when I asked for san pelligrino still water to be told that they don’t have that in. Finally my crepe comes and I take a bite and realise that it’s got strawberries in all the way through which I’m allergic too. One of my family members takes it back and says that I asked for banana not strawberry there’s a reason why I can’t eat it and didn’t want it on my crepe. Then 5 minutes later another crepe comes out that was my bitten crepe that someone had opened up and picked the strawberries out and put banana in. Disgusting absolutely … not sure if this was a mistake or just being stingy either way it’s not on. It then again gets returned because there is no way I am eating that and it gets explained once again there is a reason I can’t eat strawberries to which then one of the owners comes over to serve the correct crepe and apologise . I really hope a lesson was learnt today because cross contamination is not a joke. Please be careful when eating there. I didn’t get offered a refund but then again they were willing to serve me a bitten crepe again so it didn’t surprise me that much."
