"I have visited this place so many times for drinks and sometimes for food, never had a cause for real complaint, BUT THAT HAS CHANGED, as the place, food wise has gone seriously downhill. It was a family do, so no one wanted to complain really at the time but if it had been just me or two of us I think I would have walked out. We were there for Sunday lunch, one of the worst ever, rock hard broccoli, not al dente more like break your teeth. Roast potatoes also very hard on the outside, not crispy, just tough, with a texture of cardboard and tasteless gravy. All you get for Sunday lunch is a smallish amount of meat, uncooked broccoli, hard potatoes, picked red cabbage which seems totally out of place here and tasteless watery gravy, no apple sauce OR STUFFING with the pork, no horseradish with beef, all lacked the usual trimmings for Sunday roasts, uninspiring, unappetizing and POOR VALUE.. The fish and chips was only slightly better, small portion of fish and not real chips, just the thin ones. Even Wetherspoons would be better, ACTUALLY THEIR FISH AND CHIPS are far, far better and MUCH cheaper too. Ironically I had starved myself to make room for a big roast, no need for that sadly. Has the management changed or the chef left as I have had great pub meals here just a few months ago. If the manager reads this review, I say pull your socks up as you've gone downhill and have great competition nearby from at least 4 other pubs, 3 of which definitely serve really great food, as I have eaten in them all recently. TO SUM UP, NICE PLACE FOR A DRINK, BUT AVOID EATING HERE UNLESS IT RETURNS TO HOW IT WAS. GROSSLY OVER PRICED FOR THE QUALITY AND QUALITY. PS I TOLD the waiter the broccoli was inedible and to please bring us some more but cooked properly, after we had finished eating, broccoli still on the plates, he apologized as they had been far too busy to do anything about it, disgraceful service and attitude. !!!"

Really friendly helpful staff and delicious great value lunch-time food. Seven dishes on offer all at £7. The desserts were terrific too. What a find, almost opposite Brockwell Park Lido.

The Prince Regent is a very lovely local dog-friend pub! Our waiter (the Scottish man from Edinburgh who will learn what a ‘shiba inu ’ is was amazing and very attentive. Thanks for putting up with us! Would definitely recommend (Captain too x

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for food and drinks. Unfortunately, the service and attitude of the wait staff were poor. However, the food was enjoyable and the bartender was the only one who was efficient and friendly. I would not recommend this place. View menu

I have been going to this pub for 45 years, but I will never go back again! There is a person who waits for customers to enter and then asks them for money. When I complained to the bar staff, they were dismissive and said he is in need of help. If you are looking for a peaceful drink without interruptions, do not visit this establishment.

We entrussted the Prince Regent with our special family 200th birthday party i.e. 80 plus 70 plus 50, in a communal celebration and it did not disappoint! An evening party for 50 odd people was organised with the minimum of fuss and a maximum of cheerful helpfulness. We were able to supplement drinks from the bar with our choices from an excellent wine list and the buffet food received favourable comments from our guests. Definitely five stars.

I used to visit the Regent often, but I hadn't been in 18 months, so I decided to arrange a Christmas get-together. I was a bit worried after reading some recent negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pub was just as good as I remembered. It had been renovated, making it look even nicer, and still had a great selection of beers and wines. I went on steak night and found the quality to be excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. View menu

Came on a Saturday afternoon for a quick drink with a friend. Really fancied a **** Mary but was told they were out of it despite half a jug of the mix sitting behind the bar. Fast forward 20mins and a couple sat next to us outside (friends of barmaid) also asked for a **** Mary and 2 magically appeared a few minutes later. Didn’t realise you had to be mates with the barmaid to get your drink of choice, bit disappointing really. Would not recommend but hopefully if we get on the barmaids good side we’ll be allowed a **** Mary, if we ever come back!

Can not praise enough. From the moment I contacted Matt. Every encounter was easy and pleasant. Every member of staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful and in particular Jemma went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met, even needs I didn't know I had! Small details which made a big difference. The upstairs private hire area is a fantastic space, we used both rooms which was just perfect, one for dancing and one for chilling in. I really cannot recommend The Prince Regent enough. Apart from it being in a great location to get train/tube/bus to, the food was delicious, the chef even made some twists to the standard menu on request and the Staffs attitude and support were secon...
