"Nice place, we visit every now and again. We went in and ordered 6 pints, the bartender poured them into plastic glasses. We questioned why plastic glasses, she said we can’t cope with volume if we use proper glasses. We questioned this as we could see shelves full of actual glasses. We asked why we couldn’t have these, and she couldn’t answer. We felt insulted as price of pint was certainly not cheap. We walked out, and to add insult to injury in our opinion the bartender chased us outside and said if we walk out and don’t pay for these pints then we’re barred. Really bizarre, but to which we said okay fair enough."

Most unwelcome pub I have ever been in, they claim because it’s a “village pub” it’s acceptable. Staff are rude

Went for a try and we were blown away! The pizzas are beautiful, they best most authentic pizza we’ve had in years! So good! Thin, crispy and with a perfect amount of topping! Going back very soon! View menu

Since simon and claire have taken over management it really has improved. Food is fantastic for the price. Their pizzas are amazing. Drinks are a good selection. They have some amazing bands on saturday night. And top.qualitt karaoke every other sunday which is always good fun. It's a safe atmosphere and well.worth a visit.

Good selection of beers and wines including cask guest ales. Can be busy nowadays and difficult to find a seat inside. Outside courtyard is lovely when it’s dry and warm. Food selection not extensive but the pizzas are lovely. Decent gin selection. When busy it’s very loud and difficult to follow conversations. Service is prompt and polite. Go to pub in Higham. Great pub with a homely, welcoming atmosphere. Extensive gin menu, although I've yet to try most of them! By far the best thing about The Queens Head is their pizzas Amazing! Thoroughly recommend Liefmans and Erdinger, although I've no doubt they're all as delicious. Thin, crispy hand stretched base with fresh toppings and cooked to perfection 2 for 1 on Mondays too makes it amazing value for money. Keep up the great work I'm your new regular!

Having been here a few times before lockdown I thought it was a fantastic little pub, a lovely vibe, such friendly staff and sensational food. Visited during the pandemic and they couldn’t have been better, took great caution and didn’t let people congregate at any point. The staff once again cannot be faulted, Tracey and Claire are absolute angels!! Cannot recommend this absolute gem of a pub enough, pop in for a lovely pint, a friendly face the best pizza you will have in the area!

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
