"A very disappointing experience. Firstly, we were served complimentary bread which was served completely hot and very clearly microwaved it was also quite inedible as it was very tough and near enough impossible to eat, quite possibly because it had been microwaved for so long. Our starters were okay, with the nicest part being olives, however the roast lamb was also well below average and didn't live up to expectation. We didn't bother with desserts as they had sold out of half of them (it was a sunday early lunchtime) and the table next to us had an nightmare ordering them which resulted in their desserts coming out at different times. Service was okay, however very slow considering we were only 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant although this could be explained by the fact that there was only one member of staff to be seen. Overall very disappointed as the reviews we had read had been good. Parking: Plenty of space."

this is a great place for food/ snacks and drinks. the service was excellent and three young men who served us went beyond and beyond his duty, he was a very personable waiter. eating was amazing, we loved it.

Fantastic find. The 2 year old granddaughter chose it by blind scrolling on TripAdvisor. She chose very well. Lovely place, food was awesome and the staff were lovely and attentative with the grand children. Will definitely be going back.

We were on a walk in the area and stopped in for a break. Service was friendly if a bit slow. We were hoping to get a bar snack, but the lunch menu was mostly just main meals. However we chose three small items for £12 and a bowl of chips, which made quite a good lunch.

we stopped at this great old pub full character for lunch halfway through a circular walk in the opposite friendly but not the fastest service, eating was pleasant, but not really what we were after. we and others asked for a light bite sandwiches, but these are not available.A missed opportunity imho.

A wonderful evening, sat in their garden with our dog. Eating amazing pizza cooked in their wood fired cob oven. The staff, actually the owners, gave impeccable service, highly welcoming and genuinely friendly, thankyou for a wonderful experience, the glorious night sky and warm evening was a bonus Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

restaurant quality eat without the full, attentive service and beautiful atmosphere. had a meal for two in the week, it was not busy eating was excellent quality from the "pub food" menu and the service was attentive without being overlaid. I have eaten at some local places and this is some of the best food in the opposite. only improvement could be a small music in the orangery, but otherwise excellent round.

We had an exceptional meal at the Falcon last night. My best mate Tom, who is a local to the Falcon asked them to curate a 4 course menu for his birthday, for a party of around 30 of us. The food, the service and organisation of the meal was exceptional. Every bite was delicious, in particular the lamb and salmon dishes. A massive thank you to the chefs and team at the falcon for putting out such an excellent service. ️ Service: Dine in

"a difficult review when the restaurant tried to provide the service that I am sure they wanted. a busy Saturday midday in December, all the tables were tightly packed, there were no ceiling ventilation or were all windows open to provide covid ventilation protection. the menu is large with a lot of choice. we went for a selection of starters to share under the family. most were very small dishes, the flower flowers bites consisted only small floccules. I think that this was too expensive for everyone. for the net I divided half a steak/ale cake and crispy chili bark. the bark in the torte was chewing and blande, the chips rode in a customs of their life, and the muddy peas were simply crushed, cultivated garden. the chili beef on the other side was sensational, fully spiced, steaming hot and loads of it, with rice and crack. the dishes could no longer differ in quality and taste. similar mixed results were reported from the rest of the table. I appreciate that covid has hit local food companies hard and they are still trying to get their pre-pandemic service. there were many guests who were fed and the kitchen struggled to supply consistency; our main dishes were delivered in intervals, so we did not eat together and it took to put the net on the table. as mentioned it was brushed, but a service fee was added to the bill. I think this is a bad service, even if one takes into account the difficulties of the covid. I hope that this feedback will be taken and traded so that we can see an improvement when we visit next."

"[edit] kept me a promise to return to food, and I was not disappointed. We have sung with friends that we haven't seen for over five years, and it was the ideal choice to recover from a beautiful meal. A warm and welcoming welcome from all employees, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered drinks from the bar and immediately sat in the dining room. Menus and specialties of the day were provided. Although it was pretty busy, we never felt cramped or that it was too loud as it could be in other settings. The layout of the tables made our group of four feelings, we had private food, also occupied with any other table. We chose Pate (x2), mussels and engraving, followed by Red Lion Burger, Pasta parmigiana, fish and chips and duck. For dessert, Rhabarb crumb cake, sticky toffee pudding. All dishes came sharp with perfect timing. Our servers were always available for drinks, but never float ominous. The food here is excellent. Really. I haven't eaten it well for some time. A great thank you to Phil, John and her staff for having an evening to remember for all the right reasons. What the personal touch must be. You have just expanded the outdoor seating area, and I am happy to come back when it is warmer to enjoy some fine al fresco restaurants. [1. Review] We visited a birthday function here in the beer garden. What a beautiful pub that is. They even had a pizza van that made delicious fresh pizzas. The staff were efficient and extremely helpful and friendly, always on hand, and from the comments I heard from other diners in the pub, everyone had enjoyed their meals. I will definitely return with my family."
