The Quicken Tree - Menu

Just had a lovely meal at the quicken tree, a special shout out to Shannon and Wayne for looking after us. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

Great afternoon out with family, despite the cooler than expected weather the geandkids had a great time. The guy in charge of the boats etc was really smiley friendly, the food was very good and the service by the waiter and the girls was great, definitely recommended

I made a reservation for 12:30 on a Sunday and arrived before the crowds. While the vegetarian options were limited, I was pleased to find a delicious pasta dish (mushroom papadelle) on the menu. My wife, who is a bit pickier, also enjoyed her meal: the lamb shank. The outdoor seating offered lovely views. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. View menu

This restaurant is amazing! I have been here numerous times for breakfast with friends and family, and they never disappoint. The food is of excellent quality and is always served hot, just the way we like it. The staff is very friendly and the outdoor seating area is lovely to enjoy a drink. I hope they continue to offer their 2 for 1 breakfast deal after August.

This Fantastic place has changed its menu since our last visit. It was always a pleasure to see the Chef's make everything from scratch. For example the creamy garlic mushrooms on sour bread. This is no longer the case. It now looks like most of the new dishes come pre packed and heated up.What a massive mistake they've made. I heard many diner's saying that the quality of the food has dropped tremendously. They need to up their very quickly. Please don't just cover the window to the kitchen up. Go back to what has been successful for you.

Went there we friends for a night out and can highly recommend this establishment the service was excellent and we were spoilt for choice. The starters were extensive and it took us some time to decide as we loved every one each of us had different ones and each of us enjoyed them. My starter was ham hock croquettes, my main was pan fried salmon with chorizo and penne pasta which was delicious and my desert was creme brûlée which was perfect finished off with an espresso I had red wine from the Douro valley which was fruity and robust with a little spice. The title may sound harsh, but upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with what appeared to be a Christmas party. Finding parking, especially disabled spots, was difficult, and the entrance was crowded with partygoers. However, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly. The restaurant itself was lovely, with a decent menu at reasonable prices. The staff were attentive and polite, despite being busy. The food was delicious, with the only criticisms being that the Korean chicken had too much Gochujan mayo and the pie was on the smaller side. The fish and chips, lasagne, and koftas were all great. Overall, we had an enjoyable evening meal.

We were really looking forward to having Sunday lunch as we had heard good things about the place/food. We felt the service was lacking. When we were seated we were left for quite sometime before anyone came, we ordered drinks and food at the same time because of the wait. We asked if they had Pepsi max, was told yes but when the drinks came it was diet coke which we don't like. They took it back and when we went to the bar to see what else there was to have to drink the staff were slating us. Have visited the Quicken Tree many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and had good service. However, today's visit was a different story. We visited with a couple of friends for Sunday lunch and initially things were fine. We were seated promptly, orders taken and drinks served. Food took a while, but it was a busy Sunday afternoon, so a delay can be expected. Then things went downhill. Food was great, but no one came to ask if all was OK or ask if we wanted any more drinks. Took half an hour after we'd finished for someone to clear the plates. We asked for the desert menu, waited ten minutes but no sign of it.
